A Strange Arrangement [CD]

I have been to all of Mayer's Concerts here in the bay area for the last 2 years and i gotta say i love his style. While he is making changes and improving as an artist, he is still putting out great music. This cd is one of my favorites as it has the motown feel and pleasant enough for my parents to enjoy compared to all the other genres i listen to. I recommend him to anyone who likes soul, smooth vibes, motown feel or just want a great record to relax too. Enjoy and support him.

I saw Mayer Hawthorne on Daryl Hall's Show, never heard of the guy before, can't wait until the next CD comes out on 7-16-13!!! Good music is finally back!!!

When I first heard of this guy, I was like, "who is this??" The album cover threw me WAY off. But then after I listen to his whole album, I was amazed at how talented and good this guy's music was. Of course he talks about love and the usual things all artist talk about but he really does bring something different to the table. He's multi-talented, he can sing, rap, dj, play instruments and write music. His music is timeless and has that Motown feel to it. When you listen to the lyrics of his songs and the music arrangement all together, you can see he has a true appreciation for music and knows how to generate good music. Did i mention he has raw talent? That's hard to find these days. And another thing hard to find, I liked EVERY song on his album! Don't over look this guy. Mayer Hawthorne Rocks!

It has been a real long time since I spent money on a CD and didn't miss it because the CD was so good. His voice, the music, the lyrics are just amazing. Everything goes so well together. I am so happy I purchased this CD. I just wished I knew about him sooner. Great buy, if you love music like the Impressions or Chi-Lites. I am hopeful that real music can make a come back and maybe have regular airplay on the radio. Looking forward to his next CD.
