This is a older movie that we have not seen and was delighted when I was able to purchase it from BestBuy, at a good price, so my wife and I can watch it anytime we want.

The first film matching of the obvious - Sherlock Holmes and Jack the Ripper. It would be done again in "Murder By Decree" almost as well, but this version has excellent acting - John Neville is a wonderful Holmes, and Anthony Quayle is always enjoyable - oddly enjoyable jazz scoring and a terrific pace. Sadly, there are no extras, and the "horror" makeup is so bad the actress has to hold it in place at the end of the film!
