A Walk In the Sun
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Classic James Jones WWII novel, and not a bad rendition in film, but how this film got classified as an American Western is a mystery to this old buckaroo. (Perhaps it was mistaken for a spaghetti western?) The action takes place in the Allies march north through Italy led by General Mark Clark. It's the story of a squad led by Dana Andrews, with typical GI comradery, stereotypes, nylons and chocolate, heroic action, and Hollywood deaths.
