Enjoying my Acer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is a great fit for me. I thought it would be hard to use because there were new functions that were not on my old laptop. But I'm happy with the product and it was an out of the box purchase so I was a little nervous about that. Things are great and working just fine. I'd like to thank the wonderful associates at Best Buy. They were very helpful and patient with me. Thank you.

Nice solid laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good laptop. Needed it because my other current one decided it didn't like the internet anymore. The touch screen is really nice. The computing power has been surprisingly nice, making multitasking really easy. Battery life is incredible. I often use it for 8hrs + and can still sit down and do stuff when I get home. Good connections to internet and Bluetooth. Keyboard is comfortable, and while the touch pad would be just a little better if a little more centered so you don't accidentally rest your hand on it, it isn't often a problem. The only problem I have been having with the computer is the fact that sometimes when I put it to sleep and come back, the mouse won't respond until I restart the computer. While that may just need an update or something, it has been fairly annoying.

Good Computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It definitely took some getting used to. The touch screen is great, but finding the location of certain things is beyond difficult, and the manual didn't shed any light on that. It took some trial and error, but I figured out what where things were located. My only real complaint is that my internet connection is considerably slower when I access it through the touch screen instead of the home screen. Not really sure why that would be, but at least four times as slow. Overall a good computer for the money.

A good work horse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took me a little while to learn to navigate this laptop since it was almost 5 years since I purchased my previous one and not everything is completely user friendly. Now that I know it better it is great for my work and private life. The navigation/mouse pad can be a bit annoying but I have come to enjoy the touch screen function. I tend to access and keep open several webpages at the same time and that doesn't always agree with the computer but I can have several documents open at the same time without issues.

Easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this laptop for about a month or so now and the set up was super easy! It takes some time to get used to if you aren't used to the new windows format. Do far here are my current pros and cons. Pro: *awesome responsive touch screen *super easy to set up *great for non tech savvy individuals such as myself Cons: * doesn't have a disc drive (did buy one super cheap online) * track pad is ok I prefer a mouse for heavy browsing/ work * constant updates, I'm sure I could fix this somewhere in my settings but man it feels like every other time I use it I have to update and restart. Overall I think this is a great laptop for the price runs and works fast. Still getting used to the layout of everything but I think it's neat that there is a tablet like set up for playing mindless games or windows apps. Haven't used it so far for much more than surfing the web and watching Netflix. Would recommend for someone not looking for anything to fancy but will just do what you need it to do. Will update again when I use the laptop more.

Good value for price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were looking for a good value computer for our daughter and granddaughter. We wanted something that had touch screen and a good overall laptop for homework. The ACER Aspire, has the speed we wanted with an Intel i5 processor, a good sized screen and plenty of memory. It's a great deal!

Good computer...gets the job done
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a good computer. Just wanted a machine for some basic internet browsing, movie watching, and basic office work. Nothing fany, but gets the job done. Would recomend it to anyone who just wants a basic laptop without all the bells and whistles. I do hate Windows 8 though...so can't wait for Windows 10.

Q: QuestionIs it good for gamesI'm looking for a laptop that is good with games. Any lag
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I would not suggest this for a gamer. I bought 2 of this as gifts for my friends. I thought I'd impress them by upgrading the memory to 16GB or at least 8GB. I have 4 4GB sticks from my personal upgrade. It has 2 memory banks that are hidden underneath all the parts. You will need to take all the screws out keyboard & monitor out, HDD out, mother board out, FAN & heat sink out. Only then you will have access to memory banks. If you are not a brave heart. you will faint while you take out those cable connections in the process. If you only play pack man or Zelda and okay with the specs that are listed, then you can go ahead with this product. If you are a die hard Gamer then look for the following: - i7 processor or equivalent - 4 memory banks with motherboard that supports 32 GB ram - Potentially SSD HDD - At least NVIDIA 2GB graphics card

Q: QuestionSSD?Hey everyone I have been cleaning up some bloatware and updating windows and drivers. I noticed that the HDD is bottlenecking the i5 and the 4gb RAM. The i5 is on average utilizing at about 30% while the ram barely peak 2.2GB, the HDD however has been 99-100% active. I believe that it is not quick enough for my purpose and would like to know which sata SSD can this laptop take? Thanks
