  • Key Specs
    • Storage Capacity: 2000 gigabytes (Measured in megabytes (MB), gigabytes (GB) and terabytes (TB), this is the amount available for storing files, music, movies, photos and more. The total includes the capacity of the hard disk drive and solid state drive if both are included on the computer.)
    • Storage Drive Type: SSD (Traditional, mechanical hard disk drives are the most common type of storage because they're relatively inexpensive and offer huge capacities. However, they also generate both noise and heat. Solid state drives, also known as SSDs, are many times faster than hard disk drives and have no moving parts to wear out, but typically offer less capacity for the same price.)
    • Maximum Read Speed: 3900 megabytes per second (The greatest speed at which the device can read information; for example, opening files.)
    • Maximum Write Speed: 3200 megabytes per second (The greatest speed at which the device can write information; for example, saving files.)
    • Interface(s): PCIe Gen 4 x4 (Refers to the types of connections that devices use to interact and communicate with each other.)

Q: Will this work in an Asus Tuf FA506iv laptop?

A: Hello, According to ASUS the drive installed in the ASUS TUF FA506IV Laptop, this drive should plug into the M.2 slot built into the laptop. However, the XPG GAMMIX S50 Lite is a Gen4 SSD and the slot in the ASUS TUF FA506IV Laptop is a Gen3 slot and there is a possibility of it reading it, but not reaching its maximum advertised speeds due to the gap in architecture between both drives. Regards, ADATA Team

Q: Will this work as an internal drive in a PS5?

A: Hello Bob, Thank you for the interest in our XPG products. The S50 Lite will work inside of the PS5's internal expansion slot. However please note that the S50 Lite is rated at read/write speeds of 3900MB/s and 3200MB/s. Which is slower than the recommended specs for the PS5's expansion slot. The recommended speed is 5500MB/s or faster. Regards, ADATA Team
