Q: Are you limited to what you can download on here
A: Hello Kimber! Applications downloaded on Fire HD tablets must come from the Amazon Appstore. Files may also be downloaded directly from the web browser, Silk. Parental restrictions may be placed on child profiles to eliminate any unwanted access or downloading. If more space is needed, storage can be increased up to 1TB with a micro SD card. A: Hi Angie! The Fire HD 8 Kids Edition works about the same as other tablets, where holding down on the power button will bring up the options to turn off or reset the tablet, while a short press will lock it. I wouldn't say it's too easy to accidentally turn it off, the case that it comes with keeps the buttons in a bit of a recess so they're unlikely to press it down just holding the tablet, but there is no way to disable the power button functionality completely. Amazon's Kindle Child's Tablet
The price is right. Less than $20 bucks for a year subscription. The first year is free. It's a little slower than I'd like and has a tendency to frustrate kids as it tends to freeze up frequently. Additionally, it's fairly easy to switch from the child's profile to the adult profile, which opens them up to your Amazon account and internet via your email.

Perfect tablet for kids!
I bought this tablet for my 3 year old daughter. She originally used my old iPad but with the settings and general apps, there was a lot she’d get lost in. I did my research and came across this tablet. I love the parental controls on it & how I’m able to have access from my phone to monitor her screen time & things she has access to. You can easily block any websites or even certain YouTube channels if you don’t want your little watching too much baby shark or coco melon. It’s my favorite thing! The durability is great considering she’s a clumsy toddler. & the battery life does well.

Great for Toddlers
This tablet was perfect. My purchased it for my 2 year old but he didn’t like it because we couldn’t put YT Kids on it so I ended up returning it. The pricing is reasonable and it comes with the cutest Mickey Mouse case.
