Kindle Paperwhite – Now with a 6.8” display and thinner borders, adjustable warm light, up to 10 weeks of battery life, and 20% faster page turns.
Q: How many books does this hold?
A: Hi there, This may not be 100% helpful, but I'm hoping it can lead to a good answer. I currently have 768 books according to my Kindle and with them all downloaded, it takes up almost 5GB of space on my 8GB Kindle (as I don't have this edition since it's so new) So the answer of "1000's of books" applies to if you are not downloading every single book that you purchase as I have been doing. To make room, I un-downloaded all of my "fluff" books and this did free up a lot of space to add more books. I imagine most people only download books as they decide to read them. For myself, I am a mood reader and like to have the option to read any book at any time and downloading them ahead of time is the only way to read them without an internet connection. Hope this helps!

Q: Can I download books from Hoopla and Libby? Also from my local library?
A: It depends but for the most part, yes! All e-books should tell you what format they're compatible with (Libby, Kindle, EPUB etc...). I believe most all Libby books are compatible w/ Kindle so if your local library uses Libby to distribute e-books you should be good. Cannot confirm for Hoopla.
