Informative, fascinating viewing and listening!
For anyone interested in 1920's music from the farms, cotton fields, mines, and Mississippi Delta plus the revolutionary "electric" recording technology of the day, this is recommended viewing!
The "American Epic Sessions" (disc 2) is an especially wonderful tribute to the musicians of the period by some of today's artists. The discs/records cut at the sessions are recorded on a restored 1920's lathe with associated electronics! These "sessions" are truly a wonderful concept not only in honoring those from the past, but also in allowing one to step back in time for a glimpse of what recording must have been like in the day.
The Blu-ray set exhibits excellent image and sound quality.
