Very easy to setup. connected all devices, and works great, including TiVo, cell phones, PS3, laptops and tablets. Was hoping for better range. Used in basement and get barely any signal on second floor.
Once moved to first floor, covers the whole house.

I purchased this device so we could directly connect multiple devices to our router via Ethernet. I stream movies from Netflix and do some online gaming so I wanted to allow for these devices to use the faster Ethernet connection. The router is on the second floor, while our TiVo and Xbox are in the basement. This device allowed me to run an Ethernet cable to this device in the basement and use it as an access point for directly connection up to 4 devices via Ethernet. It also works as a range extender, which is nice since the basement doesn't receive the best WiFi signal from our router located 2 floors above. It is costly, but I would recommend.

I bought this to replace a wireless router due to some ISP changes. This unit installed easily; the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I needed to do a "non-standard" installation and it went flawlessly. I would recommend this to anyone needing a dual band wireless access point.

Not exactly what I expected

After having read reviews of various AP's, I came upon this one. It was easy to set up and it does work well, but it can't act as an extender of my existing router's WiFi LAN. It has to be independent, meaning you need to use it as an additional WiFi name in your environment. It's not as strong as I thought it would be, but it does seem to do what I was looking for - extending a signal to a far corner of my home.

I have a Netgear wndr4500 router in a large house. the setup is not ideal as the router is on the back corner in the office. I ran a cat 6 from the office into the basement and set up a NAS (center of basement) to back up my files and then connected this WAP. The WAP is in the cellar and Im gettin 5 solid bars on the second floor w/ 150Mbs solid connectivity.
Setup: Plug into youe existing network (either into the router or a switch/hub), wait 3 minutes and viola - there it is. There is also a nice browser interface to configure settings if you wish to change the SSID, password , IP ETC..... This couldnt be simpler to use. Well done Amped :)
A word about the delivery... I ordered this online at roughly 4pm EST on 5/28/13. It arrived at my doorstep on 5/29/13 at 2:30pm. It was setup and on my network at 3:00pm on 5/29/13

I hate losing my internet signal in the middle of something. I have resorted to using 3 access points on the first story of my home in order to prevent this. By using this AP, I was hoping that its extended range would allow me to only need 2 AP's. However, its range was not much better than the Linksys AP it was supposed to replace. Despite this, the AP is reliable, and so far has not lost its internet signal.
