Q: Do these each work independently?
A: They do work independently for both sides. The thing to note is they both connect individually so you'll have a Spirit X2 and a Spirit X2-L. Also, at least something I've been dealing with and can't seem to change is the left side being the default single ear side. When I want to use one, the left side is the quickest to connect, and when I have both in and decide to only use one, if I put the right side back it switches seemlessly. Alternatively, when I keep the right and put the left back, they seem to disconnect for a second and sometimes will reconnect on their own. Choosing the right side as my single sometimes requires manual connection. They also have a tendency to take about 5 seconds on average to connect. I like them and am pleased I didn't buy the beats pro but they still have their quirks
Q: I have the soundcore a1 they keep pairing separately..why?

It's unusual for this product to be acting like this, please try the troubeshooting below to see if it helps at all: - Firstly try to forget the pairing records (both Soundcore Life A1 and Soundcore Life A1 L) on your device and turn off the Bluetooth. Reset the earbuds via the steps below: - Place the earbuds into the charging case and make sure they are being charged. - Press and hold the button on both earbuds for 3 seconds. The LED indicators will flash red 3 times and then turn white. After the reset, take both earbuds out of the charging case to make sure they are successfully paired; you will see the white light flashes quickly on the one earbud and the light flashes slowly on the other side, which means they pair together. Turn on the Bluetooth again and search for Soundcore Life A1 and pair.
