Foster Child Annie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, this is not Orphan Annie growing up in the depression era as told by the movies in 1982 and 1999. If you approach this movie with that mindset you will be disappointed. This is an Annie growing up in a foster care situation after her parents abandoned her at an Italian restaurant named Domani's, which in Italian means tomorrow. This Annie isn't street tough as the original Annie was but she is street smart, optimistic, well mannered, and good natured. She longs to be reunited with her parents but makes the most of her present situation. Her life is changed when she literally runs into billionaire Will Stacks. Quevenzhane Wallis (Annie) lights up the screen and has a good screen chemistry with Jamie Foxx(Will Stacks). The songs are familiar but have been jazzed up for a modern day audience with the blessing of the original composers. In short, it's a good hearted movie filled with smiles and a few laughs. If you watch it with an open mind, this is good family entertainment.

Annie Updated
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unless you are a Broadway purist then this is a terrific new movie production of Annie with a bunch of new songs and a terrific cast. The new Annie is played by Quvenzhané Wallis and she sings wonderfully as well as Jamie Foxx who steals the show in his numbers and the big surprise was Rose Byrne who can also belt out a tune. Cameron Diaz has a nice comic role as Miss Hanigan and let's leave it at that. Totally kid friendly and fun!

Good family movie
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My daughter loves this movie. I enjoyed watching it too, which kind of surprised me as the previews seemed kind of lame. We have watched several times and it’s a good feel good movie for kids.

Love this movie!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Annie is a great movie. Plot is very different from the original movie but everyone in it plays their part really well. Jamie plays Mr. Stax , a man who owns a cell phone company. Cameron Diaz plays a funny Mrs. Hannigan. Quvenzhane Wallis does a terrific job with playing Annie!! I recommend a parent to sit down and enjoy the movie with your child.

Positive, wonderful movie, A++ especially for kids
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We watched this at the movies and my 5 yr old daughter loved it so much, she asked me to get the blu ray. Very Positive, wonderful movie, A++ especially for kids. It is clean and no need to fast forward for a specific adult oriented scene. The cast is a good balance, good acting by the grown ups and that little girl is so cute. Highly recommended.

Cute movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was one movie my 5 year old son kept asking to see. I took him to the theater and he loved it. Kept asking for the DVD but told him he had to wait for it to come out. Although the original was a favorite of mine, and there have been other remakes, this definitely wasn't horrible. Actually, I thought it was cute especially since they made it modern day. Definitely worth a watch.

I loved it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.loved this movie. I had no plans of watching it, but when my 6 year old granddaughter said she wanted to see it, I was all in. I was pleasantly surprised at the originality of this remake. I thought the story line was relevant and the music was amazing. The actors were perfect. I have watched it many times over.

Annie was excellent as a young actress!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't normally go for musicals but this movie was so heart warming and the acting was superb that I had to purchase the dvd. This should become a classic. The acting of the young star of Annie was outstanding as well as the entire cast. I took my two "teen" nieces and the absolutely loved it and made their mom take them again.
