Watch network and local channels in HD over the air with the ClearStream 1MAX antenna from Antennas Direct. Setup is easy - The ClearStream 1MAX is whole-home ready and can connect with existing satellite or cable wiring to deliver the antenna's signal to all your TVs. This indoor, attic, and outdoor TV antenna receives UHF and Hi-VHF signals from over 40 miles away and its multi-directional elements provide optimal reception even if your broadcast towers are spread out. There are many advantages to installing an outdoor TV antenna over an indoor antenna. As well as not needing to conceal an antenna among your home décor, an outdoor antenna will experience fewer physical obstructions like walls, building materials, furniture, etc., and less interference (noise) from electronic devices inside your home. The ClearStream 1MAX antenna includes a 20-inch mast with a pivoting base to allow for installation on horizontal or vertical surfaces like a roof, fascia, or attic. Note: the range of this antenna can vary depending on the height of, power, and frequency coming from the TV transmitter tower, as well as the height of the antenna installation, the terrain in your area, and obstacles between your home and the broadcast towers.
Q: Will this work on an old analog tv?
A: Yes, all antennas will. But you still need to use a converter box to change the signal from analogue to digital.
Q: How hard is this to install? Is there anything else that has to be bought with this?
A: It depends where you put it..if your mounting it inside just a screw and screwdriver is all you need. Outdoors mounting it high you might want to get the services of a contractor...theres alot of brackets and parts that come with it but if your not comfortable with installation outside.hire someone who can help you with that.

A: I live here in Alaska. I had temporary installed the antenna in side the house just to check it out, and it works. There was almost a dozen channels. So later on after purchasing a longer coax cable I had moved the antenna outside and holy moly there was more channels and the picture got so much more clearer. I think if it works here in Alaska it should work for where ever you live. Just try and point it to the broadcasting towers.
