Q: Is the airtag included or is it just the empty keyring?
A: The Airtag is sold separately.
Q: is this the air and the key ring together for the $35 price?
A: Unfortunately not. The AirTags can be purchased for $29 ea or 4 for $99. Each of these key rings cost an additional $35 on top of that price. I'd recommend looking on Amazon or other third party sites (like Belkin) for key rings that are just as nice quality-wise, but cost a whole lot less :)
Q: So why does the keytag cost more than the tag itself?
A: Because it is made specifically to fit the air tag. Also to confuse people into thinking it comes with it.
A: AirTag makes a noise on command to help locate the device. Furthermore, in Locate Nearby mode, your iPhone will use directional arrows and vibrations to guide you to the AirTag.
Q: Could this be used to track a pet? Put it on their collar?
A: Sure, as long as your pet does not run off in an area which has no phone signal.
Q: Is the Air Tag rechargeable, or does it need to be replaced periodically?
A: Not rechargeable but Im told its easy to replace the flat battery that can be found at any drugstore etc. I have two of them for about a year and a half and haven’t had to worry about them yet!
Q: Is it battery operated? And how often does it have to be changed?
A: Yes, AirTag is designed for over a year’s worth of battery life with everyday use. The CR2032 battery is user-replaceable and widely available. Replacement batteries are sold separately.
Q: How good does it stay on a dogs collar?
A: I attached key ring to my dogs collar and it is awesome. Stays great.
