After clinging onto my 6S for years, i decided i needed a phone with stronger glass but didn’t want anything crazy expensive or fancy. This is a great 6S-but-better device. The transition to being headphone jackless hurts a little bit less as I am still familiar with the phone itself (although i do miss getting to use my headphones while charging my phone, but i can get an adapter or pods). The phone feels more luxurious, from the slimmer design and quicker, nicer screen, even with its more frequent vibrate home button click thing (sorry i don’t know the term). Going from 16GB of storage to 256 is a dream, but that is just a personal bonus.

I upgraded from the iPhone 6s and all I got was the same phone with the same dimensions, screen resolution, no headphone jack. This phone also weighs slightly more. The camera is placed in a different spot than my old phone so no cases will work from it. I hate the glass back just another portion of the phone which can crack if it is dropped. Overall... the improvements are not useful to me because I don't have the Qi wireless charger nor do I intend on getting my phone wet period... I went back to my old iPhone 6S and I can find plenty of cute cases for it.... all the iPhone 8 cases barely had any protection and the ones that did like the Otterbox or Lifeproof cases were very ugly. Same phone from 2 yrs ago and Samsung has had these extra features for years...

I upgraded from iPhone 6s Plus. I love having a smaller phone and so many new features. The speaker is much better and I love the color. The camera is awesome. I can wait on the iPhone X, because I’m enjoying the iPhone 8 right now. There are a few bugs, which is not uncommon, my wireless earphones had static and a bad connection, but the update resolved the problem. I had a great experience while purchasing my phone, the employees helped me with everything!

Wish the phone was more different from an exterior POV than the 6S I upgraded from, but overall it's a great phone. Camera is out of this world good for a smartphone. It's a little different getting used to the lack of a physical home button, but the interface is still good. Battery life is at least double what I was getting on my old 6S and that was after having installed a new battery several months ago. Overall, I'm happy with this phone!

The phone is good, but it isn't that further advanced from the older models. I waited until my iPhone 6 croaked before buying this phone. I wanted to wait until September to see what Apple puts out next, but I was cycling through batteries too quickly to wait out any longer. If you have to buy a phone now, this is a good device. If you can hold off, wait to see what Apple releases this fall.

I had the 6 before I bought the new iPhone 8. It's similar, but will more features. I specifically bought the model with 256G as I had issues with my other phone running out of memory. I've only had this about a month, but am very pleased thus far. The camera takes great pix, and I've been able to download all types of new apps. I'd definitely buy it again.

I've been an iPhone user since the very first weekend the first iPhone was released. I've upgraded from the original iPhone to the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 6s and now to the iPhone 8. This phone is absolutely the best so far. Photo quality is superb, the high resolution screen is great, and the reliability of the iPhone is unbeatable.

Iphone 8 is the last iPhone with Touch ID, all newer ones use Face ID. I still like the Touch ID feature and got the 256gb so I have sufficient storage for photos and songs and apps etc. This has been a good choice so far. Although iPhones are known to have battery issues, let's wait and see how well this one lasts.
