"Shot in Iceland, this survival film features Mads Mikkelsen as Overgård, an explorer and researcher attempting to exist in a snow-covered terrain with blistering winds, freezing conditions, and murderous wildlife. After a rescue attempt goes tragically wrong Overgård must make a potentially deadly decision, to risk his life making a treacherous trek into the unfamiliar terrain or remain at his camp where he may never be discovered. Directed and co-written by Joe Penna."~Clare Perez-Izaguirre Lopez
This is a survival story with only two real cast members. Don't expect many lines from either of them. You see what happens to people in times like that. At any moment they could have died from just the cold alone. Not to mention the polar bear or arctic storms. Very interesting!!!
I would recommend this to a friend

A very good movie that shows a very interesting storyline.
He was saying about how much this project meant for him, he’s been writing and working on it for a while and never had the chance to take off with it. He’s finally finished the product and it shows how much passion this was put in it. I really don’t want to talk about the story because there isn’t really much to talk about, just a man trying to survive. That man being Mads Milkelson (sorry if I butchered his name) he is just wonderful and carries the whole film of coarse. Great movie, great actor! Don’t be expecting any action sequences or nothing crazy.
I enjoyed the movie but it could have been better if the woman could have showed a little more grateful realistic appreciation for all that her rescue person was going through to save her. A little more love
I am so buying Polar if I can, coz full on Mads butt. drool
But this is brilliant acting and scenery. I thought I was literally freezing in the movie theater. Really.
Not a lot of dialogue, but it doesn't need it. It's beautifully done.
But bring the hot cocoa and fuzzy blankies.
This movie had potential, but never quite measured upto the height it promissed.
My disappointment is not so much for the acting, which was solid, but for the plodding script. Worse, the director tried to be cute by providing an ending that not only fell flat, but was a frustrating conclusion to a survival frama that deserved an answer.
Did they survive or didn't they? This movie tries to play it cute by leaving the viewer wondering. It didn't work for me. I was not at all satisfied.
So, save your money and wait for it to come out on cable.
