I have been a fan of Lamb of God for a very long time. I have bought the music... the DVD's... and been in the middle of their completely epic mosh pits on many occasions. Everything about this band makes me respect who they are as artists and human beings. Then.... THIS was released. As The Palaces Burn began its life as an attempt to focus on the global fanbase. It goes to great lengths to show how music is a medium that transcends language, social status, and environment. During the filming of this ambitious and thought provoking project, the lead singer finds himself suddenly arrested and imprisoned in a Czech repulic prison. The documentary then focuses on the absolutely terrifying trial that could forever change a mans life. The charge? The death of a fan during a past concert. By the end of this deep and moving DVD, you will see what it truly means to stand up for what you believe is right... to truly walk the walk. The best way for me to decribe this documentary is with a single word... amazing. Regardless of whether you are a fan of this music or not, this is a DVD that should not be missed.

This DVD was a great insight into the most troubling time in Lamb of God's career. It showcases some really heartfelt stories from fans worldwide that convey how much the band's music means to them. The 2nd half of the film covers the court case that Randy Blythe had to endure. The film offers great commentary from the band members, the band's staff, and Randy himself. There are a few emotional moments that are pretty powerful. The amount of respect that I have for Randy considering his attitude about the whole situation is just immense. Same goes for the band, too. I hope that this experience has a positive effect on the band's songwriting and brings out a killer new album! With all of the emotions and thoughts that were thrown around during this ordeal, I don't see any reason why the band couldn't translate those feelings into music. It's going to be a very interesting next couple of years for Lamb of God, and I frankly can't wait.

This Documentary DVD is essentially broken up into two parts, interviews with Lamb Of God fans around the world, and the second part is the gripping story of vocalist D. Randy Blythe's manslaughter case in the Czech Republic. I found and watched the documentary online months ago and it was incredible! I bought this DVD for the bonus features, which are ample, including deleted scenes and a Q&A by the band after a screening. Definite must-have for any Lamb of God fan or a fan of heavy music in general!

A very fine and very solid documentary chronicling Lamb of God and what they had to deal with regarding Randy's incarceration. I'm really glad they had a documentary like this made because not only does it show the effects of the incarceration and the trial, it showed what type of fans Lamb of God has and it's great. One of the best documentaries I have ever seen.

I watched this DVD with my friend Carlos. He personally does not care for Lamb Of God and even he was impressed with the story. The story of Randy Blythe being falsely accused of murder is a little hard to watch at times, as I personally used to know vocalist Randy Blythe, but an amazing tale of the fans and brotherhood within the band.

Great documentary and a rough story for a band and especially the singer. If you aren't a fan, this documentary is still well worth it!
