I have been a fan of Lamb of God for a very long time. I have bought the music... the DVD's... and been in the middle of their completely epic mosh pits on many occasions. Everything about this band makes me respect who they are as artists and human beings.
Then.... THIS was released.
As The Palaces Burn began its life as an attempt to focus on the global fanbase. It goes to great lengths to show how music is a medium that transcends language, social status, and environment. During the filming of this ambitious and thought provoking project, the lead singer finds himself suddenly arrested and imprisoned in a Czech repulic prison. The documentary then focuses on the absolutely terrifying trial that could forever change a mans life. The charge? The death of a fan during a past concert.
By the end of this deep and moving DVD, you will see what it truly means to stand up for what you believe is right... to truly walk the walk. The best way for me to decribe this documentary is with a single word... amazing.
Regardless of whether you are a fan of this music or not, this is a DVD that should not be missed.
