Q: Is the FHD screen a TN screen? or an IPS screen?
A: I'll answer my own question since I just got this laptop. I explicitly bought this because I was told by a Best Buy Geek Squad rep that it was an IPS screen (better viewing angles). So I got it and it is totally a 1080p TN screen with terrible viewing angles and bad washed out contrast ratio.
A: Yes it is upgradeable, it comes with 4 gigs embedded and one 4 gig stick. Crucial web site says it can be upgraded to 16 gig stick, giving a total of 20 gigs of RAM. I put a 8 gig in, and now I have 12 gigs. I hope this helps!
Q: What are the differences between the Asus X512DA and F512DA models?
A: From what I've found there are several different configurations for both the x512 and the f512 (as in either may have ryzen 3 or 5 or either could have have windows home or S) . The only definitive difference I can see between the two is that the x512 does not have an expandable RAM slot. The f512 can be expanded to 12GB whereas the x512 can only ever have up to 8GB.
Q: what is the maximum RAM capacity?
A: I can confirm that this comes with a 4 gigabyte Ram stick, and according to Crucial's website it can be upgraded to 16 gigabytes. I swapped out the 4 gig for an 8 gig and it works smoothly. It has 4 gigabytes embedded. So if you upgrade it with a 16 gig Ram stick you would get 20 gigs. Hope this helps!
Q: Can I do light gaming on this laptop? Such as sims 4.
A: My kids play Roblox so it should be fine. The kids love it.
Q: Is it good for gaming also if it is can it run rainbow six siege.
A: It is good for games. It should be good with that game.
A: Yes, the laptop suppport video-out, to an external monitor, using a USB-C and a USB 3.0 video-out adapter.
Q: Does this laptop USB C port support dual monitors in Alt-Mode/Display Port?
A: The USB-C only supports one external minotor using a USB-C to a video out adapter. To setup 2 external monitor, the other monitor needs to be connected through the HDMI port.

Barebones, gets the job done
I got sick of being stuck in one room 8 hours a day on my desktop so I bought the laptop to move around more. I use it to run 3 Microsoft Office apps and some light web surfing. Honestly, I think it should be a little cheaper for what it is. The screen has a heavy blueish cast and is not a good example of Asus’s typically high quality. I use the software included with Windows 10 to adjust the warmth, and wear “anti glare computer glasses.” The keyboard is an abomination. I am an expert touch typer (120wpm, typing since I was a small child in 1989) and I still fumble over the keys. I have no idea what they were thinking with the grey lettering on a silver keyboard. If you are struggling, go and get a “keyboard skin” for a 15.6” ASUS laptop from a retailer. It has helped me a ton. I’ve attached an image. Overall, the machine runs pretty quickly and doesn’t get hung up. The SSD is a huge help if you need to get everything up and running ASAP (like taking client calls, recalling data quickly). I haven’t had issues with the fan like a couple of other people.

Great price for a powerful computer!!
love this computer so far very easy to use. Very light weight but sturdy. Doesn't feel cheap. The only reason i don't give it 5 stars is because of the screen isnt the best. I have Apple everything except laptop and wanted a good strong laptop for a good price so went to this and love everything about it. Speed, ease of use, etc. The screen isnt the best. Apple spoiled me. Sorry

No running issues but I got some gripes
I haven't experienced any running issues or lagging. It boots up nicely without delay and the speed is sufficient. It took a little getting used to the layout though that is to be expected with any upgrade. As far as functionality, I haven't a single complaint. But when it comes to the cosmetic components, I have a few. First would be the keys. They appear to be cheaply made. I have had 2 get stuck and the control key keeps coming off. Second is the flat back design. Even with its listed feature of the "ErgoLift Hinge" There isn't any elevation from the bottom end to the top end making it a bit more difficult to type. I have to prop something under the top end to give it an offset. Finally, the rubber tabs on the bottom that are designed to keep it from sliding aren't very grippy. There is no grab to speak of and the laptop slides on surfaces freely.
