Hear yourself in the studio with these Audio-Technica ATH-M50x AUD ATHM50XWH monitor headphones, which feature 45mm large-aperture drivers for faithful sound replication. The 90° swiveling earcups allow comfortable 1-ear monitoring.
Q: How well does it cancel out surrounding noise, and how is the bass quality?
A: Bass quality is great, but subjective from what you are coming from or have experience with. For instance, if you are used to Beats, or DJ headphones, these might seem to have more subtle bass, but only because they are more accurate to the original music file/production. Just like a home HIFI system, other brands engineer their headphones to emphasize the highs and lows. These might have a slight "smile" eq curve to them, but it's ever so subtle. Hope this helps.
Q: Are these comfortable for long gaming sessions?
A: Thank you for your inquiry. I find them very comfortable in long studio sessions. Please note that these do not have a built in microphone that you may want for gaming.
A: Yes, there is. The wireless (Bluetooth) version of the headphone, the ATH-M50xBT, was specifically designed to sound like the original wired only version of the headphone, the ATH-M50x, when used in the wireless mode. As a result, when the ATH-M50xBT is used in the wired mode, it does not sound identical to the original wired only ATH-M50x.
A: I am a big fan of the ATH-M50X. You can buy a Bluetooth adapter for $50 that will plug directly into the headphone. This puts you at $200 all-in. The model number for the adapter is BAL-M50X.
A: Twist and lock. Twist right.
Q: What is the difference between this and its limited version?
A: The limited is matte grey, that's all.
A: They come with an adapter.
Q: would these be suitable to use with a pc for listening to classical music
A: Yes, they would.
