Q: Do you think it’s good for making YouTube videos?

A: Yes it is. Be aware that you will need an interface that provides 48 volts phantom power installed between the microphone and the computer if you are considering the AT2020, which is the XLR output version of the mic, however. We also make a USB version of the mic, the AT2020USB+ which operates off USB buss power and does not require the use of an interface or phantom power.

Q: Is this the USB model?

    A: no its not

Q: What do I need to plug it into to hear it in lamest terms I don't have an Xbox or a switch or any of that so what do I need to buy to use it please be specific

A: It varies widely according to the application. We would need to know more about how you plan to use the microphone.

    Q: Is it iphone compatible?

A: It is not, not without the use of some type of audio interface that has a lightning output anyway. Make certain that the interface also has 48 volts phantom power to power the microphone. Phantom power is provided over 3-pin XLR female type microphone input connectors. You will need an XLR male to XLR female type microphone cable to connect the microphone to the interface.

Q: Can it work on switch and ps4

A: Yes, but you will need to install a 48 volt phantom power supply (to power the microphone) between the microphone and the game console. Use a 3-pin XLR female to 3-pin XLR male microphone cable to connect the microphone to the mic input on the phantom power supply, then a 3-pin XLR female to 3.5 mm TRS cable to connect the output on the phantom power supply to the3.5 mm mic input jack on the console. Use a cable, such as the HOSA XVM-105F, to make the connection to the console. This cable is specifically designed to distribute the signal from the microphone, which is a mono signal, to both sides of the stereo 3.5 mm mic jack on the console.

Q: I have the AT audio technica mic with the Neewer input output power source and it STILL won't pick up my voice. Is the AT2020 headset required for the mic to work? Yes, I've check my settings and everything seems in order.

A: The problem is the Neewer phantom power supply, for some reason it cannot power the AT2020 Microphone. Consider the Mackie M48 Phantom Power Supply instead.

Q: Ok so im new to streaming and i have absolutely no clue what phantom power or literally anything about audio in general. I have read the reviews and like the product, however i fear if i buy the product i wont know how to use it properly.

A: You will need a USB interface that provides 48 volts phantom power installed between the microphone and the computer if you are considering the AT2020, which is the XLR output version of the mic. We also make a USB version of the mic, the AT2020USB+, which operates off USB buss power and does not require the use of an interface or phantom power. If you only need to use one microphone at a time with your computer, the USB version would be a simpler, possibly more cost effective way to go. If you need to use more than one microphone at the same time, a USB interface with multiple MIC inputs and 48 volts DC phantom power would be a better option.

Q: CAN I USE THIS FOR XBOX ONE?

A: If your XBOX has a 3.5mm MIC jack on it, you could but you would have to connect the AT2020 Microphone to an interface of some kind first. You would need an interface that has at least one XLR type Microphone input on it and the interface must supply 48 volts phantom power to power the microphone.
