All the hype about "Premium HDMI Cable" is spot on! You may not see it right away and may pass a stress test of 4.4.4 Chroma @ 12 Bit Planet Earth 2, but at the least expected moment your cables WILL FAIL! Was trying to calibrate TV (XBR65X900E) and no video, but passed audio! Mind you, I've been dealing with intermittent handshake issues and was driving me crazy!!! Tried another Audioquest (AQ) cable and the same thing on Oppo UDP-203. That's a 2M and 3M failing and even after restarting the 203 and everything under the sun... Tried the supplied Oppo "Premium Certified Cable" that came with the player and Voila Video and audio! An once of prevention is worth a pound of cure... Reordered my replacement "Premium Certified Cable" and still no issues. There's a list of participating manufacturer's list of "Premium Certified Cables" at http://www.hdmi.org/learningcenter/adopters_founders.aspx#B

        AudioQuest

The fact the AudioQuest HDMI cables are not Premium Certified is not the issue. All current models of AQ HDMI cables (Pearl thru Diamond) up to 8.0 m. are fully compatible with 4K/60, HDCP2.2 and HDR. Although we do not yet fully understand why there is a conflict with Oppo 4K BluRay players and our HDMI cables, the only issues we have been alerted to so far involves Oppo players. We have heard of three issues so far and we are currently investigating the problem. No other UHD BD players have an issue with our cables. audioquest

The speakers replaced a very high-end Yamaha studio monitor system that included tunable crossovers on each face of the speaker. My wife and I heard this system in the Magnolia theater Best Buy and could not believe our years. We are used to a high-end audio products and we were completely impressed by that clarity, separation and natural sound heard especially during instrumental points of music and vocal solos. The musicians sound as if they're right in our living room. The Martin Logan 40s do not require a lot of power I have an Emotiva amp and is a 200 watt per channel amplifier which is more than ample to push these speakers. You may consider a sub woofer and Martin Logan. center channel as a nice compliment to make a 3.1 system. You'll find that satellite speakers are not needed for this dynamic speaker set. You'll not regret buying these speakers. The are a great value and can be compared to other high end speakers even for the upper level audiophile price range.

Because I got these along with my first 4K tv and HDR soundbar, I am not sure how much superior the video and sound is with these cables over standard cheaper cables but I can attest that the quality of these cables seems very well constructed and I have no complaints at all. I will say though that if you are on the fence as to what length to get just go ahead and pay the extra $20 to size up and don't be a dummy like me and go with the shorter cable thinking it will be long enough and then have it be about 3 inches shorter that where I wanted it to go. This is not the fault of the product because it is labeled appropriately and was just due to me trying to be cheap haha.

      Top Of The Line HDMI

Let me start of by saying ive been using this cable non stop for 4 yrs and not anything but great quality video and 7.1ch audio. Only down side of this cable is that the 1.4v is starting to get out dated. Yes this passes 1080p/120hz & 4k/24hz but only can pass 10.5gbs. If your going the 4k/hdr route like myself then youll need the newer AQ hdmi thats 2.0 or 2.0a if you want to watch 4k/60p/hdr. Youll need a cable that can pass atleast 18gbs like the AQ Pearl and it seems for right now for some strange reason they have the cheaper Pearl series setup to be their buget 4k/hdr cable. Only real difference between the 2 is the Forest models come with Silver in the welds and connections where the Pearl series is straight copper.

If you have a 1080P TV and you run everything through your A/V receiver, this the way to go. For about $48 for a 3 foot HDMI cable, this will give you good high speed capabilities for now and in the future, including 4K capable TV's. I wouldn't recommend any AudioQuest lower than this one if you are doing a lot of streaming movies where you are fussy about the quality of the picture. It plays a vital role in helping to upgrade to a 1080p picture. If I would find a fault with this product, it is too much of a box with useless installation instructions. If you are a novice, it will be confusing to know which end of the HDMI cable goes where. (Different arrow on each end of cable), as directions don' advise which arrow is which? Otherwise, a good, high quality HDMI cable for the price!

I had a cheaper HDMI cable go out. I wanted to get something of a better quality because of the hassle of replacing inside a wall. After talking with a Best Buy representative about the different AudioQuest cables, I decided to go with Forest. It wasn't the cheapest, but definitely wasn't the most expensive. I was a little skeptical about it being an "upgrade" to my tv, which is what I was told. But, when I plugged it in, I could tell immediately. The picture is clearer than ever before. If you're spending good money on a tv and home theater, go with a better HDMI cable, such as this one. You won't be disappointed.

We've all had our experiences with "less expensive" HDMI cables. It seems this specification needs truly good cables and connectors to provide the right video and audio transfer between devices. The picture and sound was so improved with the Blue Ray player I replaced all the other HDMI cables going to the AVR, and to the HDTV (65" Panasonic Plasma, VT50). Nice to hear the difference and not worry about audio/video time lag issues (speaking without the mouth being in sync with the words, etc.). I plan on using AudioQuest for all my cable needs until another great leap forward happens. It will probably be AudioQuest, I don't get the feeling they will sit on their laurels like some other cable companies.
