AudioQuest Ocean 4K-8K-10K 48Gbps HDMI Cable combines superior materials and superior design to deliver a superior entertainment experience. Featuring solid Long-Grain Copper conductors that have been direction-controlled for the most efficient dissipation of high-frequency noise, AudioQuest Ocean is meticulously designed for enhanced sound quality and outstanding overall performance. Of course, all AudioQuest 48G HDMI cables can transfer up to professional 10K Ultra HD video, support Dynamic HDR, and have the conductors and bandwidth required for eARC’s enhanced sonic capabilities. Taking performance even further, in AudioQuest HDMI cables, the ARC-channel conductor pair is internally controlled for direction, running in the opposite direction from the four pairs that carry information to the TV, to ensure superior audio performance.
Q: Does this cable have the holographic sticker from HDMI licensing? A certified UHS Cable?
A: Just received mine and it does NOT have a holographic sticker. It does have ‘Ultra High Speed’ stamped on both ends. I was able to verify 2.1 compliance by hooking up my Xbox Series X to my LG CX and got 4K UHD @ 120Hz
A: That’s bc Ocean 48 is exclusive to Best Buy. To the best of my knowledge the Ocean 48 would fall in between Pearl 48 and Forest 48.
Q: Can anyone explain difference between Ocean and Pearl line of cables?
A: I don't think there is a difference. The Ocean and Sky variants are Best Buy exclusives. The Ocean is equivalent to the Pearl and the Sky is equivalent to the Forest. If you look at the back of both boxes the Ocean has the same specs as the Pearl and the Sky has the same specs as the Forest. So, if they are the same prices, buy whichever is available and if one is cheaper than the other, then buy that one.
A: To be completely honest. I don’t think you need to buy this specific model! You can honestly just get the hdmi 2.1 cable that supports 4K resolution and it’s only 25 bucks if I remember correctly vs spending 2x as much for a console that doesn’t have 8k games anywhere in the near future! And make sure that your tv also has that 2.1 hdmi connection! And that it too has the ability to go at 4K with 120+ FPS capability! Then go into your ps5 settings and make sure you adjust it to your resolution preference
Q: are these HDMI 2.1 cables??
A: Yes hdmi 2.1
A: Yes, this HDMI cable will work with any resolution up to 10k, including 4k with HDR.
Q: does this cable work with a 65 inch sony tv?? some places say it works on a 55 inch not 65 inch
A: Works just fine from my 65in Sony A90J to my Nintendo Switch.
A: Lifetime Warranty. Had (1) cable break and AudioQuest replaced it.
