A: No, at least because of the plastic handle covers. They are held on by screws, but I wouldn't recommend removing them to do what you propose. The lid also has a plastic knob and would not be for oven use.

A: The cords pretty long. About 3-4 ft. Longer then I expected and the base is about 6-7 pounds. Pans are not heavy. My wife love love loves this cooker!!!!
