Our house has 1500 sq/ft of wood and tile. I have a one year old and a three year old. I have always cleaned my floors by hand, but it took forever and someone always ran across the wood floors before they were dry leaving little foot prints everywhere.
After several failed attempts with steams mops I bought this as a last resort before going back to my hands and knees and was pleasantly surprised.
I have had it five months and have used it over 20 times and although its not perfect, I am really happy with it. Its amazing how cleans it gets your floors.
Pros:
*Works excellent on wood floors - cleaner leaves no film or streaks. They look beautiful!
*Sucks the water up as you go so your floors are completely dry within a few minutes.
*separate clean & dirty water tanks.
* Cleaner is a reasonable price and goes a long ways
* Easy set up & Clean up - fill tank and go!
Cons:
*The squeegee makes it move quarky. At first its kind of hard to push, but it just take a few times to learn how to do it. However it still takes a little muscle to push it, but not much more than a mop.
* Dry vac is worthless!
* Heater is worthless, only heats water 20 degrees.
* Seemed to work better on my wood floors than tile. My tiles has lot of texture to it, however I have found I just take a spray bottle and spray some of the nasty spots and let them soak while I am getting it set up.
Overall, aside from a few design flaws (Which is what i would expect from something this cheap) this is an awesome machine! I am simply amazed even after I dry mop and vacuum how nasty the water gets.

Hubby got me this because I have carpal tunnel and our house is either laminate floor or hardwood floors. I tried using the vacuum and between the 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 kids it didnt work well and I ended up using the regular vacuum. So I tried using the mop, the pad got dirty quick and started leaving dirty water everywhere. The brushes skip major parts and if you dont slightly tip the vacuum up then place it down over the water it will skip some water and leave muddy streaks. I got sick this winter and didnt use it for a few week now we cant get it to suck at all. Hubby took it apart and couldnt figure out why its not sucking. I am moving on the the Hoover Floormate.

worst item that I ever bought

Please do not waste time and money on this hard floor cleaner. I never write reviews, but felt I had to get the word out. This hard floor cleaner left my floors so sticky and dull that I have had to mop them over and over to undo the damage this cleaner did. Also, the cap does not seal and continues to leak even after closed.

Great for those with knee problems

Having little cartilage left in my knees and unable to get down on them to scrub my floors, the Flip-it is the answer to my floor scrubbing problem. I am pretty fussy as to how my floor looks after I clean it and those other mops that are sold in most grocery stores just don't clean as well as this. The fact that you can see how much dirt is being removed, not just "moved around on your floor" is amazing. I am on my second Flip it and it has become one of those gifts that my kids have given me on those special holidays where they just don't know what to get me.

last less than 1 year

On two units (first one bought and then unit replacement under warranty), I have had the same issue. From clean water tank, the unit stopped sending water to the floor. So I mop with mop and then use this unit to suck up the water.
Nearest warranty repair shop is 20 miles away in out of way town. So too time consuming to get services under warranty.
Do not buy. Still trying to find something that will last and be light weight. No success.
