For life’s little accidents....
||Posted .It is going to happen at some point. Your little one has an accident. No stress here if you have this machine in your cleaning Arsenal. 3 or 6 minute cycles provide automated cleaning. Problem solved with a push of a button.

Does the job with little cleanup afterwards
||Posted .I have two dogs and, needless to say, they make messes on the carpet. I hate having to pull out the large steam cleaner just to get rid of one spot. I also don't like having to get down on my hands and knees to manually clean and/or use an appliance. Enter the SpotBot. This is exactly what I was looking for with a spot cleaner. Fill the chamber with water and some solution, put the device on the stain, and it does the rest. Pick it up, drain the waste compartment, and you're good to go. There are three modes when using the SpotBot: surface stain, set-in stain, and manual mode where you use the hand tool. I've used the hand tool once just to try it out and it works but manually scrubbing the carpet kind of defeats the purpose of having this as Bissell makes a manual spot cleaning device that costs half as much as this. Generally speaking, the surface stain setting (which takes about 3 minutes vs the 7 minutes for the set-in stain setting) is enough to get things clean. I've clean dog urine, stuck on dog fecal matter, dog vomit, spilled soda, spilled fruit juice, chili sauce, and various other things from my off-white carpet and the SpotBot is able to take care of every stain. The only thing you have to make sure is that you use the SpotBot as soon as you are aware of a stain. Old stains, ones that have been set-in for years, aren't going to be removed by this unless you discover some special cleaner that I haven't come across. I use multiple types of cleaners, anything made for a large carpet shampooer/steam cleaner will work with this. I knocked this off by one star as the device is pretty noisy, I can hear the scrubbing brushes through the floor when I'm in the basement cleaning the first floor. It also beeps whenever it is done and doesn't stop until you hit the "finish" button. Overall though, this appears to perform a deep clean on my carpet and I've used it on Berber and standard carpet along with rugs. It's a nifty little device that makes cleaning spots easy so you don't have to pull out any large equipment. It's easy to setup, use, clean, and then store away. The SpotBot is a little on the expensive side (seeing as how you can buy full sized carpet cleaners for $25-$50 more) but it's worth it for the convenience. Plus the cleaning head is pretty much the perfect size for capturing pet messes so you can just "set it and forget it."

Worth the purchase
||Posted .It does what it it bills itself to do... cleans sports. It seems to do a good job, even with old set in stains. It does take a while (about 10 min). I think that the product is good as is worth the purchase. Here are a couple of things to consider tho: 1. This is does not hit a big area, so if it's a big stain, you'll be doing it several times. 2. The area that is treated is usually very wet after all is done. I wish that it was drier. I usually have to put a towel over the area to soak up the excess water. 3. It is very loud (not to be unexpected). 4. Expect for it to take about 5-10 minutes to clean a spot. Even with all of that, I would buy the product again. We have old dogs that sometimes have accidents in the house and this beats pulling out the big steamvac for every stain.

One of 5 bissell products I own
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.I purchased my first SpotBot 10 years ago as a gift to my mother they have improved a bit but not as much as I would like to see now with that said this thing works exactly as I remember if you use it on a fresh stain forget about it there will be no remnant of the stain left when the SpotBot is done it also has pretty good results for soil set in stains now I personally use scalding hot water when I'm dealing with a tough set in stain in a commercial grade carpet cleaner but I do not think it's necessary what is really good about this thing is it suction power in the rate at which the brushes spin I've tried to match its brush productivity by hand brushing stain side by side and the SpotBot has beat me every time what is also interesting is I used it as a Shop-Vac to drain my dishwasher it worked perfectly during and after I probably just voided my warranty other than that we own several Bissell products from floor steamers to wet dry mops to vacuum cleaners one of the best things about Bissell is there customer service any product that you buy from them if it does not perform as expected with very little hassle they will replace upgrade or give you your money back no questions asked

Overall a great product
||Posted .We had a previous model of this for many years and when it finally broke we neglected to purchase a new one. We finally came to our senses an bought this one as we missed the convenience so much! As I said, overall this is a great product but there are a few small things that keep it from 5 stars. The hose for the attachement is very tightly wrapped around the base of this unit. We feel that the unnecessary strain was what eventually led to our previous unit breaking. The could have easily made the hose a little longer to give it some slack and provided a clip to keep it from moving. For cleaning, it does a fairly good job, especially considering you get to set it down and walk away. Larger messes need multiple treatments with an overlapping pattern but not a big deal. I would recommend using the hose attachment on the cleaned circle to suck up the remaining water as it always leaves some behind. I imagine it just can't create enough suction with an 8" area to get it all. You will also minimize the obvious circle left behind, depending on the type of carpet you have. Low pile won't be effected that much I imagine. Anyway, don't hesitate to get one of these if you have a lot of small messes to clean up from pets or kids! We use ours all the time and can easily live with any shortcomings for the added convenience. Oh, it is also nice and portable so you are hauling a massive carpet cleaner out to clean up a tiny mess.

Great little cleaner
||Posted .I have two dogs and I'm a clean freak. Our whole house is carpeted and I hate getting out my big steam cleaner every time there is an incident. I love to just set this unit and let it do its thing. As other reviews state, you do have use the hand tool after you are done to get the excess moisture from the spot but it really does great. You can usually get two to three spots every tankful and every time I use it for one spot I try to find two others to go ahead and get. If you use it in high-traffic areas it might clean it too good and leave a round spot. But I'm not complaining. It just showed how dirty my carpet was and I got out my big machine and that solved that. Great machine. I use it in my mini van too. Great for those little spots and easy to get out without involving a whole big project.

This is a Must!
||Posted .So it doesn't happen too often, but occasionally we won't catch on that one of the pups was telling us they needed outside... when accidents occur the spot bot is awesome! You fill it up with water and the soap solution, set it on the stain and walk away. There is an option for "set in stain" which is for when you didn't notice when it first happened and has dried.(6 minutes) There is also an option for surface stain which you use when it just happened.(3 minutes) There is also an option for using the hose and cleaning by hand. We moved into a brand new build and got this. We've used it for more than just the pets... Spill a drink-spot bot. Done. The solution seems to be great as well! The dogs don't stop to smell pervious cleaned areas, or attempt to remark their spots. The one downside that we have found is how wet the spot is afterwards. It doesn't seem to pic back up as much moisture as we would prefer. This might also just be kind of the norm, as professional cleaners leave you carpet the same way. We have used the hand nozzle to remove some of the excess moisture and have also not and the carpet seems to have the same result after drying. Perfect! In the end this thing is a must, even for non pet owners. Super simple, no time to set up. As simple as a spill/stain seems and maybe you don't need to use the spot bot, why wouldn't you? It's so quick and guarantees your carpet will last! We would recommend this to anyone.

Everybody with a pet should own this!
||Posted .This is wonderful! My second purchase, first one was purchased over 15 years ago. Yes, it still works great, so I gave it to my son and purchased the newer version. Does exactly the same thing as the older model with a little updating to the style and a little smaller then the first model. I recommend this for anybody that has pets or small children. It will leave a circle in the carpet after it has completed its cycle but these will dry and all you have to do is vacuum a few times and they are gone. The only thing I can see that I don't like is that when you place the machine on the spot that needs to be cleaned, the brushes inside don't extend all the way out to the plastic. My old one did! Hoping this is just because the brushes are new and stiffer then my old one and will eventually soften up to make that extension that is about 1" short of cleaning that surface. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Q: QuestionHow well does this work for set in stains. I have an elderly yorkie who tends to urinate on a very high, white pile carpet. Sometimes he finds a corner or some unseen spot and i don't find it till its dried. I tried an upright shampooed and it did nothi
Asked by Marie66.
- A:Answer Yes you can use this for it—however I really believe that if you’re cleaning set in stains, it’s all in what cleaner you use. I would highly recommend mixing half Nature’s Miracle and half the pet carpet cleaner. Natures Miracle is amazing stuff and has the enzymes in it that you need for cleaning urine. I use my spot bot for dog vomit, diarrhea, as well as to clean up after my kids. It’s really handy and we use it frequently. Don’t be afraid to use it multiple times in the same spot if you need to for set in stains.

Q: QuestionSo I have a microfiber couch that I bought at Habitat store a few years back. Can I use it on the couch for cleaning? or is this just carpet use?
Asked by Furniture.
- A:Answer It will work on furniture, just be warned that the hose is relatively short and the wand attachment is only about 2 inches wide, so it will take time. Some of the larger uprights have longer hoses and larger attachments.

Q: QuestionI already have an upright Bissell shampooer but I thought this would make shampooing couches easier than the upright. Do you think both machines are necessary or will the hose on my upright do the same thing. Thanks
Asked by Dotty.
- A:Answer I don’t have a Bissell upright but if it has a hose it would probably do as well if not better than the SpotBot. The hose is rather short for doing a couch. I have used it on stairs but have to lift the Spotbot to the step below the one I”m cleaning as I move up.
