    Synopsis

    Black Christmas
A few innocent women experience a nightmare before Christmas in this bloody thriller. Billy Lenz, a severely maladjusted child, finally snaps under years of brutal treatment by his family, killing and eating them in an explosion of violence on Christmas Eve. For years, the Lenz house stands vacant, but in time it's purchased and renovated as the new home for a college sorority. A few days before Christmas, a handful of sorority sisters -- Dana (Lacey Chabert), Melissa (Michelle Trachtenberg), Kelli (Katie Cassidy), and Heather (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) -- are enjoying a quiet evening with their house mother, Barbara MacHenry (Andrea Martin), exchanging gifts and swapping stories before heading home for holiday break. While Barbara remembers the story of Billy's crimes, the atmosphere is peaceful until the young women receive the first in a series of disturbing telephone calls. Before long, they learn that Billy has escaped after years in a mental institution, and has come back to the house where he grew up to once again spill blood for the Christmas season. Black Christmas is a remake of the 1974 horror film of the same name by director Bob Clark, who later made a less-threatening film about the Yuletide season, A Christmas Story; Andrea Martin, who plays the house mother, also appeared in the 1974 film as one of the sorority girls. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

      "You want a Christmas cookie?"

I remember when i saw the tailer for this and it was awesome. Then when i went to see it in theaters i noticed many of the scenes from the trailer were not in the movie at all. I have no idea why, except they were probably all cut out for some reason. Besides that Black Christmas is a promising and unforgettable horror movie of the new millenium. It has everything you could want in a Slasher film and in many ways steers clear of the original but that makes it even better. But don't worry if your a fan of the original this one has many homages to it, the biggest one being Andrea Martin playing the house mother (she was one of the sorority girls in the original). I would have to say this movie is similar in style and plot to Scream, Halloween(1978), and I know What You Did Last Summer (besides being like the original of course) So go out and get this awesome DVD loaded with tons of special features including the movie. But paretns be CAUTIONED, this is not suitable for children under atleast 15 years of age.

This was a great holiday film, my wife and I loved it! We personally don't like X-mas, we think it's overrated and all about shopping. So, when films like this and Bad Santa come out, it gives us something to look forward to other than another cheesy dime-a-dozen Disney X-mas movie. This was a great remake of a classic old school slasher film. The plot is very similar to that of Halloween. So, if you're a fan of slasher films with lots of killing and lots of gore, I highly recommend it! Also, some other good slasher films to come out recently are Laid to Rest, Halloween (new version), My Bloody Valentine (new version in 3-D), Friday the 13th (new version), and The Last House on the Left (new version).

Black Christmas stars scream queens Katie Cassidy(A Nightmare on Elm Street, Arrow) Mary Elizabeth Winstead(Final Destination 3, The Thing, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) Kristen Cloke(Final Destination) & Crystal Lowe(Final Destination 3, Wrong Turn 2, Hot Tub Time Machine). This film is a bloodbath of a good time. With a greta horror cast and a classic brought back to life what more can you ask for. It will be much better when it out on blu ray disc.

A story about a boy that was abused and went mental and came back for revenge. It's sad but I'm sure it has happened somewhere. For anyone who likes scary movies with a plot.

Black Xmas was a decent horror film. The original is much creepier and less gory. In all this was a good time, and looks great in Hi Def.

This movie was kinda boring and wasn't that scary. The plot was dull and didn't make sense, even for movie magic.
