The Blue Pure 411 Auto air purifier takes a simple approach to smart air quality management with an integrated particle sensor, Auto mode setting, and LED air quality display. The ENERGY STAR certified air purifier delivers high performance with one-button control and customizable pre-filter colors in a lightweight, compact package. Independently evaluated and third-party tested for performance as part of the AHAM Verifide® Program for room air cleaners, this air purifier has a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 132 for fine smoke particles, 96 for pollen particles, and 107 for dust particles. Recommended for small rooms like nurseries, guest bedrooms, and home offices with a 360° air intake to completely filters room air about every 12.5 minutes (approx. 4.8x an hour at 190 ft²) on the highest speed. A: They recommend vacuuming the cloth pre-filter or putting it in the washing machine to clean it weekly. You would only need to replace it if it becomes damaged. Filters last for 6 months and cost $21.99.
Q: i have copd and alergys is this the right one for me
A: I suffer from allergies year round here in Texas, it is currently mountain cedar season which normally brings a bad cough, stuffy nose and severe itchy eyes for me. I'm convinced that this air purifier has helped me a lot. I can sleep without my usually stuffy nose.
Q: Does this air purifier help with smoke?
A: Yes, it will help with smoke. We burnt some food in the kitchen and our filter is on the other side of the house. The indicator changed to red and it turned up the filter speed automatically (when on auto mode).
Q: Is it too much to ask to have the product dimensions listed somewhere here?
A: The height of the unit is 16 1/2 inches, and the diameter is 7 3/4 inches. The recommended room size is 190 square feet.
Q: Is this to remain turned on and left on or only for bedtme?
A: Its really a matter of preference. When I first purchased I did run it continuously for about 36 hours. It is my first purifier so i figured my home needed to be "purged" lol. After that I have used for and hour here and sometimes all day. It's a great purifier and is definitely worth the investment!
A: With Blueair products, you can breathe easy, with no increased danger from ozone. That’s because for 20 years, Blueair has conducted ongoing tests to ensure our air purifiers do not release harmful levels of ozone. The tests are carried out in accordance with the California Air Resource Board (CARB) certification program, the most stringent requirements in the world for air purifiers. Tested at Intertek, a CARB accredited test lab, Blueair products undergo a comprehensive series of tests to measure ozone emissions. In these 8-hour long tests, air purifiers are tested on high and low speed – with and without the filter installed. The Intertek facility features environmental chamber technology, the most trusted and proven scientific method available for testing to see if products produce ozone. As a result, all Blueair units meet the California Air Resource Board ozone emissions limit (<50ppb). Additionally we have conducted ozone reductions tests that have shown ozone concentrations in the air directly after passing through Blueair’s filters to be lower than the ozone concentrations in the surrounding air.
Q: If the machine removes smoke, VOC? And what the differences between this and the older model?
