Quiet, Simple to Use Air Filtration
|Posted .I received the Blueair - Blue Pure 411 Auto HEPA Silent Air Purifier for purpose of providing an honest, unbiased review. My wife and I both have allergies and we have tried many different room filters over the last few years. The Blue Pure 411 Auto is a silent, easy to use filter that I would put up with the best room filters currently out there. The unit has one button that you tap to turn on and change fan speeds. The auto setting, though, is the most interesting. The filter detects air quality and adjusts the fan speed as needed. I live in central Oklahoma. I've noticed on air alert days, that the filter's indicator lights have changed to orange or red and the fans are going stronger than on days without air quality warnings. Oklahoma currently has high cedar warnings, but my wife and I haven't sneezed or coughed since setting the unit up. The unit comes with essentially two filters. There's an outer cloth cover called the "pre-filter" plus the standard filter inside. The pre-filter can be vacuumed and machine washed. The filter inside the unit is supposed to last up to six months. When you replace the standard filter, be prepared that replacement filters seem to cost around $22 at Best Buy. I didn't see any local Best Buy stores with filters in stock, but it seemed like an easy enough item to have shipped or picked up in store. Pre-filters are a little bit more difficult to come by. It seems they sell standard for under $10, but most retailers I checked were currently out with new arrivals expected within the next 4 to 6 weeks. The pre-filters provide some customization as you can find them in other materials and colors. The device stands about 16 inches with a diameter of close to 8 inches. At that height, it's not the smallest room filter, but it's not unnecessarily huge, either. I like this filter. Set up is easy. It's usually very quiet and even when the fan kicks up, it never gets that loud. If you're searching for a new room filter, be sure to check out the Blue Pure 411 Auto. 5/5 I hope you found this review helpful. Thanks!

Very quiet
|Posted .This unit is so quiet I will forget it's running! The look is sleek and something you don't mind having in your home. The light on the front lets me know how the air quality in my room is currently. I have not had to change the filters but the directions are very clear and detailed. I am sure it will be a breeze. My only issue with the unit is that I cannot seem to find the button on the top to push. I have to push and push all around the little circle on the top to start it, change the speed, or turn it off. Despite my difficulties with that, I do like this unit. I feel like my air is cleaner. They do strongly recommend making sure you get the right unit for the size of the room in which you plan to use it.

Creates clarity
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.I have this in my sewing/craft/office space, about 170 Sq. ft. This purifier achieved my goal of a crisp, clean feeling in this space. It has increased the serenity level about 75 percent in this room. I learned about the purifier from my dentist who has one in each operatory. This purifier has a soothing sound of the air and is also aesthetically pleasing as it is very light, disappears into the room and additionally it has several prefilter colors to replace the light gray cover that it comes with.

Stylish and modern
|Posted .I really love this air purifier. It’s hard for me to know how well of a job it’s doing but I sure do love the look of it. The cylindrical shape is modern and discrete. It’s very quiet. Sometimes I walk up to it because I’m not sure if it’s on or not but it always is. My only complaint is it has a tiny blue light. In our bedroom at night I don’t like any lights on so I ended up putting a small piece of tape over it. Overall function is great and appearance is 10/10

Silent Yet Helpful
|Posted .--- SETUP --- The setup of the Blueair purifier is quick and simple. Out of the box, it is ready to be connected and ready for use. --- FEATURES --- The key feature of this purifier is that it is extremely silent. It also has an automatic sensor mode to determine auto-use and an easy to remove pre-filter that can be washed. A light will indicate for you the quality of air in the present room. --- PERFORMANCE --- The performance of this purifier is great! Living in Tennessee, we experience cold weather and closed windows with pets indoors. At night, I often get a stuffy nose and my wife reacts to allergens. I plugged in the purifier in our bedroom, as that’s where we spend most of our time with our pets. I didn’t tell her about the purifier and she’s used to seeing me connect various gadgets, so she doesn’t ask what I connect anymore. About three days after use, she made a comment on how she felt like she was breathing better or waking up without feeling her allergy symptoms. I personally felt that my stuffy nose wasn’t as stuffy as it would get prior to the purifier. That’s when I revealed that we’d been sleeping with an air purifier. She asked since when? I said for about 3 days now. Not only did we both discover how effective this purifier was, but it was so quiet that it wasn’t even noticed. --- EXPECTATIONS --- The product meets my expectations. It is so easy to forget that the purifier is on because of how silent it is. You can turn on the fan to run at faster speeds manually, but I just left it on automatic and didn’t worry about it afterwards. --- VALUE --- The price for the Air Purifier is just right for a peaceful, more cleaner sleeping experience. --- APPROVAL --- I highly recommend this product for people who own pets and want a silent solution.

Horrible Customer Service
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Good product but so far the customer service has been non responsive after 3 emails. I ordered a different colored prefilter off the main website and it had huge holes in a few spots. (Defective product) If you don’t have any issues with your product you should be fine.

Q: QuestionDoes the outside material ever need cleaning or replacement? How often are filters replaced and how much are they?
Asked by Nadja.
- A:Answer They recommend vacuuming the cloth pre-filter or putting it in the washing machine to clean it weekly. You would only need to replace it if it becomes damaged. Filters last for 6 months and cost $21.99.

Q: QuestionDoes this air purifier help with smoke?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, it will help with smoke. We burnt some food in the kitchen and our filter is on the other side of the house. The indicator changed to red and it turned up the filter speed automatically (when on auto mode).

Q: QuestionIs this ozone free
Asked by 808kanemaka1.
- A:Answer With Blueair products, you can breathe easy, with no increased danger from ozone. That’s because for 20 years, Blueair has conducted ongoing tests to ensure our air purifiers do not release harmful levels of ozone. The tests are carried out in accordance with the California Air Resource Board (CARB) certification program, the most stringent requirements in the world for air purifiers. Tested at Intertek, a CARB accredited test lab, Blueair products undergo a comprehensive series of tests to measure ozone emissions. In these 8-hour long tests, air purifiers are tested on high and low speed – with and without the filter installed. The Intertek facility features environmental chamber technology, the most trusted and proven scientific method available for testing to see if products produce ozone. As a result, all Blueair units meet the California Air Resource Board ozone emissions limit (<50ppb). Additionally we have conducted ozone reductions tests that have shown ozone concentrations in the air directly after passing through Blueair’s filters to be lower than the ozone concentrations in the surrounding air.

Q: QuestionIs this to remain turned on and left on or only for bedtme?
Asked by steff.
- A:Answer Its really a matter of preference. When I first purchased I did run it continuously for about 36 hours. It is my first purifier so i figured my home needed to be "purged" lol.
