Verdict. The BlueParrott M500-XT Headset is a capable option for both phone and computer use, as it can connect to 2 devices simultaneously, and a total of 8 devices in memory. It has other useful features like the mute function when raising the mic, 100 meters of range, and active noise cancellation. I think the primary downside is the price… but if you are willing to pay retail, this will give you a high quality and capable option for work and personal use. Pro tip: for a better fit inside the ear canal, install the ear piece backwards so that it creates a funnel shape. Initial impressions. I like that this headset is fairly low profile, so less noticeable than typical computer headsets. On the other hand, it is larger than most Bluetooth earbuds for cell phones. It comes with a charging cable and a total of three sizes of earpieces. The instructions are printed on the box and they are easy to follow. Setup. Initial setup is straightforward: turn on the headset, connect through your phone or computer Bluetooth settings, and then use the BlueParrott app to install the update and adjust settings. Design. The piece that goes behind the ear is quite bulky, but once the headset is on, it’s fairly comfortable. The actual earpiece doesn’t really go in as far as I expected. I tried all three sizes and the earpiece doesn’t stay seated all the way in for some reason. Then I read that you could flip the earpiece backwards to create a funnel shape; this fits better for me. The headset uses the frame to rest on the ear, rather than using the ear canal, which improves long-term wearing comfort. App. The app is somewhat useful. You can use it to check and adjust settings, and to customize the BlueParrott button. I think it’s worthwhile installing if you want to tweak some things, otherwise the headset is fine without it. Sound Quality. The sound on my end is actually quite good, but other people mentioned that my voice sounds a little robotic, but they confirmed that background noise was either completely gone or minimal. Volume gets loud enough, no problems there. Usage. I really like that the mute can be controlled by lowering or raising the microphone (this setting can be turned on/off in the app). It’s comfortable and light enough to wear for hours at a time. I prefer a one-sided headset so that I can still hear what’s going on around me. Using the headset with two devices simultaneously is a bit clunky. It looks like it doesn’t quite maintain two connections; I have to select the M500-XT in the BT settings each time, otherwise it remains “not connected.” Other implementations I have seen from other brands keep devices connected, then to switch to a different device, you pause the one you are using and press play on a different device and it switches automatically. Things I love: - Easy setup - Connects to phones and computers - Flip up/down mic for mute - It connects to 8 devices!!!! That’s amazing. And connects to two devices simultaneously (kind of) - Lightweight and comfortable enough - Up to 93% noise cancellation - 100 meter BT range! - Great battery performance - Programable BlueParrott button - Reversible design so you can wear it on either ear… Nice! - IP54 rating for protection against dust and moisture Things I don’t love: - BlueParrott should charge $5 or $10 more and include a charging dock so that this can stay neatly on a desk - The sound distorts at higher volume - It’s fairly expensive… Much more than I expected for something like this. But it looks like quality is there, and I hope longevity as well. Overall, this is a good option for a quality headset for work or personal use. It shines a providing a one-sided headset option so that you can still hear your environment, as well as supporting long-term wear by resting on the ear instead of in the ear canal.

The BlueParrott M500-XT is one of those headsets that immediately feels like it was designed by people who actually *use* headsets all day. It’s lightweight, comfortable, and surprisingly easy to forget you’re even wearing it. With multiple ear tip sizes and an ultra-light frame, it fits securely without that annoying pressure or soreness you get from bulkier designs. If you spend hours on calls, this is the kind of comfort that genuinely makes a difference. Comfort That Actually Holds Up What stood out most is how natural it feels on your ear. The build quality is solid, but not heavy, and the ergonomic shape keeps it in place even during long stretches of back-to-back meetings. Whether you’re pacing around your office or taking calls on the go, it stays put without constant readjusting. Clear, Pro Grade Audio The dual noise cancelling microphones are the real star here. They do an excellent job filtering out background noise - keyboard clicks, office chatter, road noise, you name it - while keeping your voice crisp and clear. People on the other end hear *you*, not your environment. Even in a car, the mics cut through engine rumble and highway noise better than most headsets in this price range. Battery Life That Matches a Full Workday With up to 11 hours of talk time, you can get through an entire day without hunting for a charger. And if you do need a quick boost, the fast charging USB-C cable makes it easy to top up during a break. The 300 foot Bluetooth range is another underrated perk - you can walk around the office, grab coffee, or step into another room without dropping your connection (it dropped once when I walked out to my garage, but the walls are very thick and it's at the other end of my backyard). Simple Controls and Smart App Integration The physical buttons are placed exactly where your fingers naturally land, so you don’t have to fumble around mid-call. It’s intuitive right out of the box. The companion smartphone app adds another layer of customization, letting you tweak noise cancellation, mic sensitivity, and other settings to match your environment. It’s a nice touch for people who want more control over their audio setup. Great for Real-World, Everyday Use In daily use, the M500-XT shines. Hands-free calling works smoothly, and the headset can even read incoming texts aloud so you can stay focused on what you’re doing. For people who spend a lot of time in their vehicles - sales reps, delivery drivers, field workers - the call clarity is consistently impressive. Even at highway speeds, callers reported hearing me clearly. Final Thoughts The BlueParrott M500-XT delivers exactly what professionals need: comfort, clarity, long battery life, and reliable noise cancellation. It performs well in quiet offices, busy environments, and even loud vehicles. Considering the price and the feature set, it’s an excellent value and a dependable tool for anyone who needs to rely on clear communication throughout the day.

The BlueParrott M500-XT Headset might be the best headset I have ever used. It is very lightweight, so much so that I often forget that I am wearing it. The clarity of the calls, the noise cancelling, the voice commands when I cannot use my hands to answer or reject calls, connect to my mobile device, control the volume, check the battery level, or mute a call are unparalleled with anything I have used before. I can use it on either the left or right ear. It is designed for both, as the microphone simply turns to whichever ear is needed. For me, I really like the fact that it is exceptionally light and does not cause any ear irritation with extended daily use. Most essential is that the conversation is noticeably clear to the person at the other end of the call, as well as to me, the receiver. It offers 93% noise cancellation, making it an excellent choice for people who work in noisy environments. It can also be paired with up to 2 mobile devices simultaneously and up to 8 mobile phones. It is brilliantly simple and comes with a USB charging cable and 3 sizes of EarGels. There is not much to keep up with to enjoy the convenience this headset offers. The first step in setting up the M500-XT for your personal use is to download the app from the App Store. The app will assist with pairing the M500-XT to your mobile device, provide online support if needed, walk you through the controls, which are ergonomically placed well, and explain voice assist. Voice commands work so well that I often just use them to control the headset rather than the device's physical function controls. Easy mute can be controlled from the BlueParrott Function button or by raising the boom. Pairing is always easier when the device is fully charged. Pairing was extremely easy, and I had no trouble. During pairing, you will be asked to connect the headset to your mobile device. After connecting, the firmware may update, and then it is ready for use. The headset will work for eleven (11) hours on one single charge. The device is also made of durable materials and is rated IP54, which means it is protected against dust and moisture. As a division of GN, Jabra devices just keep getting better because they incorporate GN technology. GN Store Nord designs professional audio, video, and headset solutions and is used in about 80 percent of hearing devices on the global market. I don’t think I would even look at another headset, because this one is perfect for me.
