A: I just had Bowers & Wilkins ceiling speakers installed with a Denon Dolby Atmos receiver earlier this year. I remember having these concerns of sound and function quality. 6 months later and many movies and music played, I couldn't be happier with it! I wont go to the movie theaters anymore. The quality of sound is so great, even now when I turn a movie on or play music, it brings a smile to my face at how clean, crisp and well balanced the sound is. Guests I have come over are wowed by the sound as well. I literally have had no problems with these speakers and I also went with a Bowers & Wilkins floor subwoofer, which seals the entire deal. Hope this helps.
A: This will make a great center channel. Another great option would be the CCM Cinema 7 because the midrange and tweeter are angled towards the listener.
A: Hello, these in ceiling speakers feature a pivotable tweeter that allows you to direct the tweeter towards the listening position, providing a better sound stage and spatial effect. Apart from these, you can move up towards the reference series for better sound quality but for in ceiling speakers, we can recommend the ones above due to their tweeter design.
A: my opinion is you get what you pay for does the out put of your receiver or amp have moe than 150 watts of rms or 130 rms and you don't need all those watts for Dolby Atmos since they are used for effects or in surround for back round music. your mains are giving you the majority of your listening power.
A: Its more about the set-up of your receiver or amp and how they where installed and acoustics of the room but generally speaking I'am a believer you get what you pay for especially with Bowers and Wilkins.

A: it depends on length you are running the wire. I will use 12 gauge so more current will flow.
Q: Can I use this speaker outside under a covered patio
A: no you need the marine based speakers for moisture resistance

Phenomenal sound!!! 2nd to none!
We just built our new home and wanting the best quality in cieling speakers that put out the best sound, I knew I had quite a few options laid out in front of me. I listened to countless speakers but these B&W's were by far the best sounding speakers I listened to in the Magnolia Room. Installation was unbelievably easy. Once I turned on the receiver and listened to the speakers, I was absolutely blown away as they sounded even better than the demo I was given. Then again, the folks at BB never really turned the volume up as loud as I wanted. The clarity at higher volume was just unreal. The amount of bass these speakers put out was surprising. But the clarity.... WOW! I almost went with another brand to save some $$ but my philosophy of "once and done" pushed me to spend the extra cash, get the best, and now there is never the feeling of "coulda, shoulda, woulda..." I truly believe in reading reviews before I buy anything...consumer reports, product reviews etc. and want to make sure I have as much info before taking that leap. I'm here to tell you right now, you will NOT be disappointed in these speakers. I have a full set up with the CM10 S2's in the living room, matching center channel, and these in ceiling speakers in both the living room and master bathroom. I'm sold on B&W's and once you hear them, you will be too. Love, love, love them!!!

Excellent Ceiling Speakers
Love these speakers! Replaced 4 klipsch 1650 speakers installed by the builder. Installing was very simple due to the quick dog connectors and the separate frame. Install the frame, connect your wires to the frame and then install the speaker into the frame itself. Be extra careful when securing the speakers to the frames. You use a screw driver to push the locking connectors into the frame. It’s very easy to accidentally puncture the cone. The sound quality that these speakers produce is typical Bowers and Wilkins. Very noticeable difference between these and the klipsch. The adjustable tweeters allow you to direct towards your seating position. There’s also a three position EQ setting that allows for fine tuning the sound output depending on placement. The magnetically attached grills are secure and attractive looking. These are pricy but worth every penny.

Great speakers for Dolby Atmos
I was trying to find speakers to upgrade to Atmos - I didn't like the idea of upward firing speakers "bouncing" sound off the ceiling - direct sound has always appealed more. All my existing speakers are B&W so I started my search there. These were quite easy to install - I like the sliding retainers that hold them into the ceiling. The sound is very good - better than I thought possible for the money. Now I need more Atmos Movies.
