Q: is this a laser hair removal machine ?
A: Short answer: Kinda. Similar. Long answer: I'll be honest, I don't really know what properties correctly define what a laser is and is not. However, I do not believe this to be a laser as it is not a pinpoint beam of light. However, it does use a pulse of light to attempt permanent hair removal--I say attempt, because your skin and hair color will determine how successful it is. I have Mediterranean color skin with dark hair. I have used it for three weeks, and have almost no regrowth on my lower legs this week. I have had permanent laser hair removal in salon 15+ years ago, and this does not seem as damaging to the skin as that was, yet just as successful. I will review at the end of the 12 week regimen it lists in the instructions.
Q: Do u have to remove hair before using laser??
A: You will need to shave off any coarser hair before using such as on your legs and underarms. However, no matter what it says in the instruction book, if you are a female, don't shave your face or other baby fine hair before using. I use it on my upper lip etc without shaving first, and it hasn't damaged my unit. You wouldn't want to wax before using because I'm almost certain that it needs the follicle to be present in order for it to work.
Q: Is this for permanent hair removal?

Q: Can this be used to do full bikini hair removal? Not exactly Brazilian but FULL bikini area...
A: yes. be sure to shave complete and use light power.
Q: does it work on both dark and light hair?
A: theoretically yes, however, it works better the greater the contrast between your skin color and your hair color. so for dark hair, it works well if you are pale, but less so if you have dark skin tone. but it also matters what the color of the hair is in the root bed rather than the surface color. so for instance, I have dark root beds but some of the surface hair is quite pale. it still works on those hairs for me. hope all that made sense.
Q: Can we use for facial hair?
A: Yes around the mustache area and chin. I use on my face above the jawline too. Not recommended for eyebrows.
