Great show, lousy OVA
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This series is a great action show, it takes place sometime in the medium future, so it has a bunch of mechas and improvements in current tech. There are a bunch of 'oddball' characters who somehow come together. Starts with a cooking school student being hired by a group of females who fight crime, although he is relegated to the background soon after being introduced. The girls become more important as they are the heroes. 2 of the girls are about 17 and one is apparently 13, the leader is probably about 20 or so. There is a some fan service here, and while it doesn't usually get in the way of the story, it seems pointless. The colours on this Blu-ray version are great, but the sound is uneven, the opening song is at a noticeably lower volume than the rest of the episodes. The drawing is good and the animation fine. The only thing I didn't like was the OVA 'Burst Angel: Infinity' which for some reason I thought was a feature length movie, but turned out to be a filler episode that should have been part of the series.
