The EOS R6 features the same base image sensor and image processor as the EOS-1D X Mark III, enabling a native ISO range of 100-102,400. With high-speed continuous shooting of up to 12 fps with the Mechanical shutter and up to 20 fps with Electronic “silent” shutter, the EOS R6 can keep up with just about any fast-moving subject. Combined with the new Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system with approx. 100% coverage of the frame, and 1,053 Automatic AF Zones, the EOS R6 will confidently follow elusive subjects at 20fps for sharp images. Tracking subjects is easy and intuitive with the ability to track people using Eye, Face and Head Detection AF, or when tracking the whole body, face or eye of cats, dogs, or birds with Animal Detection AF. With the new 5-axis In-Body Image Stabilizer, up to 8-stops of shake correction is possible with both non-stabilized and optically image-stabilized lenses, opening up many more creative opportunities for incredibly stable lower light photo or video content creation. Those looking for creative cinematic video options will appreciate frame rates including 4K 60P and Full HD 120P with the option of internally recorded 4:2:2 10-bit Canon Log or HDR-PQ recording. The inclusion of Dual SDXC UHS-II card slots combined with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth allows for multiple transfer and automatic backup options, making the EOS R6 ready when you are.
Q: What firmware update are these cameras purchased with?
A: Mine came with the latest. 1.4.0
Q: Does anyone know if they fixed the over heating issue when shooting video?
A: If you’re looking to shoot in 4K for long periods at a time you’ll likely want to use a different camera body. Even if the latest software update as of me posting this (9/9/21) you are still limited to 30 minutes. Personally I’ve shot 4K at lower intervals of time until the battery was nearly dead and never ran into any overheating issues.
Q: What is the weight of this camera body Canon R6?
A: 1.5 Lbs (680g)
Q: Does the R6 model have an intervalometer ?
A: Yes. The camera’s interval timer lets you shoot from as frequent as every two seconds, to 99 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds. You can capture as many as 3600 frames or as few as two.
Q: What is the file size of each picture? Or how many shots can be held on 64GB card?
A: I have a 128gb card on it, and it's roughly 5000 raw shots, so guesstimate is around half of that for a 64gb.
A: I'm having the same issue, it was actually just available to click preorder just now, but after refreshing the page it's 'coming soon'. I think they're trying to force you to pay more for a bundle.
A: The R6 has 20.1 MP, the same sensor as the Canon EOS 1Dx III (!).
Q: Is this a good beginner camera, or is too much camera for a beginner?
A: In my opinion there are quality lesser cameras for a beginner. The rebel t6 is a great first camera.
