Questions & Answers (40)
Q: His long does the battery last? I'm thinking about getting a back up one for vacation. (6 answers)
A: I have found these batteries to last a good long time. I can go out nature walking for the better part of the day, and come home with hundreds of shots from macros to landscapes to 30x zoom and still have battery left. Of course, videos and lots of zooming can wear a battery down faster than standard shots. I think this would be an awesome unit to take on vacation, but I would never leave home without an extra battery & SD card!! Not even when I go for a nature walk :)- A: No a memory card does not come with the camera, unless you purchase one of the bundles from Best Buy. I did, but the memory card in the bundle had such low capacity, that I ended up buying another memory card anyway.
Q: Does the flash have a spring making it adjustable? (6 answers)
A: The flash is not adjustable. The pop up flash is spring-loaded to a fixed position when you want to use the flash. You can keep the flash in the popped up (available to use) position and have flash set to automatic to let camera decide if flash is needed.Q: How easy is it to see the view screen in bright sunlight? (5 answers)
A: This camera does not feature a view finder either; screen can be difficult to see on sunny days. Some folks in my photography group use a cell phone protector on their screen to cut down on glare; others purchased a camera that has a tilt screen (I'm sorry, I do not know what model that is). As to the camera - I just love it!! I do a lot of macro photography with an add on lens and it takes awesome shots. Also wonderful for anything else I point it at all the way to the super moon!Q: Is this camera really 9lbs? (6 answers)
A: This item weighs .59 lbs.- A: Yes, this camera is easy to connect to the computer via the included USB cord.
Q: How are low light shots? (3 answers)
A: Great. One has to experiment to find how to use best use low light settings. Once that is figured out, the pictures are great. I have some good inside pictures taken without flash, so the camera can be used in a museum. Because the flash has to be raised manually, one can't accidentally use the flash in a museum setting.Q: Does this camera has date stamp? (4 answers)
A: There is not a date stamp directly on the photo, but the photo is saved with the date and time taken. This only works however if you have set the correct date & time in the camera. When I have copied the files over to my computer, it keeps the date and time assigned by the camera.
