Instantly dry and marker ready
Thanks to the dye-sublimation printing process, the prints exit the printer completely dry and ready to handle, and with the final overcoat layer, they are even water-resistant!
That means they are also marker ready in case you want to write a personal message on your photo. Prints produced with this technology can last up to 100 years4!
Use the free app for even more options
SELPHY Layout is the free companion app for the SELPHY printers that let you print, edit, and add fun effects right from your Smartphone. Now updated to V3.0, the SELPHY Layout app lets you organize how you want to print your images.
You can create collages, choose which images you want to use for mini-stickers, add pattern overcoat effects, and even add QR codes to your prints to direct someone to a specific webpage.
New finishing options
Most dye-sub printers can only produce glossy prints (because the final overcoat layer is glossy), but Canon has learned how to change the texture of the final print so that you can choose from glossy, semi-gloss and satin finishes.
Additionally you can Print patterns into the overcoat layer to give your images a subtle pop of texture.

1. Wireless printing requires a working network with wireless 802.11b/g 2.4ghz compatibility. Wireless performance may vary based on terrain and distance between the printer and wireless network clients.
2. AirPrint functionality requires an iPad, iPhone 3GS or later, or iPod touch 3rd generation or later device running iOS 4.2 or later, and an AirPrint-enabled printer connected to the same network as your iOS device.
A printer connected to the USB port of your Mac, PC, AirPort Base station, or Time Capsule is not supported.
3. Requires an Internet connection and the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app or SELPHY Layout app, available for free on the App Store and at Google Play. Your device must be connected to the same working network with wireless 802.11 b/g capability as your printer.

A: AnswerHello! You'll have to use paper specifically made for the Canon Selphy printer. Other papers will not work for this printer, and the paper and ink come bundled together. Hopefully this helps!Answered by BossBaby
- A: AnswerNo, it doesn't dry out. I have gone months in between printing & it printed just as well as it did on Day 1. Most cartridges can print 108 4"x6" photos. If you print smaller photos, you can get so many more!

- A: AnswerThe software that comes with the printer when you set it up has different image sizes and styles of layout. It offers one print that looks like an ‘index’ sheet, (same size paper). You could cut the smaller size photos out of the print out. The stock and replacement size is 4” x 6”. I printed out at least 8 photos with the intro paper and ink. I took photos with my phone at an event and laid the photos out of people doing activities. The photos were stellar quality, and lots of people remarked how good they turned out. I’m glad I went with the printer instead of a Polaroid style camera.

Best Compact Printer Ever!
This small little printer is probably one of the best purchase I did in a while. I love the quality of the photos. It’s perfect for my photo booth I use at family events. It’s quick dying and give you the best quality photos ever. I really hope they come out with one that does up to 5 x 7s. The quality can’t be touched. Easy to use too. Either use it directly or with the canon SELPHY app. My photos shows you how it prints.

Exactly What You'd Expect
I love that it prints standard 4x6's, the colors are great & since they are thermal transfer they don't smudge or smear. Quick & easy setup & printing! There are some options for borders & overlays (not a ton), but that is fine for me as I like my pictures plain. There are options for photobooth strips, ID pictures collages which I find pretty neat - havent played around with those just yet. Overall great printer, would higly suggest!
