Spook-Fest
On account of it almost being Halloween, I'd say give this one a peep. It's a pretty good account of how to make an effective creep-fest on a massive low budget.
I didn't have high expectations going in to seeing this film about a year ago, but I was completely surprised at how good it was. The minimum amount of cheesiness mixed with the striking black and white cinematography and a genuinely creepy atmosphere make this film a must watch, especially on Halloween. The Criterion Blu Ray means that the audio/visual presentation is top notch and the supplements are interesting and informative. Highly recommended.
I just watched this for the first time and it is creepy. Loved it. Took me so long to check this out. I never heard of it until recently. As an avid horror fan, I highly recommend this!
