What is the Progressive lease-to-own program?

The lease-to-own program from Progressive Leasing can be a great way to get what you want right now. Progressive offers a simple lease program where you pay gradually over time. After Progressive receives your final payment, you own the product(s).

How does this program work?

It's easy. You simply shop at a participating Best Buy store and complete the lease application with a Blue Shirt. Once approved, you will work with the Blue Shirt to select your item(s) and sign the lease. Not all applicants are approved.

What do I need to be eligible and to apply?

You must be 18 years or older (19 years or older in AL), and have a valid Social Security Number or ITIN, routing and account numbers for an open and active checking account, a credit or debit card (pre-paid cards not accepted), and a smart phone (data rates may apply) and have internet access.

How much can I get approved for?

It depends. Progressive looks at many data points, including things like employment and banking history to determine approval amounts. These data points will indicate whether a Progressive lease would be a good fit and, if so, the approval amount.

Is there a processing fee for a Progressive lease?

No. Progressive does not charge an application or processing fee. Progressive takes an initial payment when you sign the lease, but it is the first of your lease payments and part of the total cost of the lease. If you are not approved, you will not be charged anything.

How do I make payments on my Progressive lease?

Payments will be automatically deducted from your checking account or charged to your credit card. Your payment frequency will depend upon the payday frequency provided on your application.

Who do I contact if I have a question about my lease?

Contact a Progressive Leasing customer service representative at 1-877-898-1970. Customer service representatives are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (MST), on Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. (MST), and are not available on Sundays. You may also access your account online via the customer portal anytime at https://myaccount.progleasing.com/.

Will I receive a monthly billing statement?

No, but you will receive a letter welcoming you to Progressive with basic information about your lease, including information about your payments and early buyout options. Your account can also be accessed online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at https://myaccount.progleasing.com/.

Do I have the option of buying the product before my max lease term ends?

Yes. You can purchase the product(s) at any time, though the lease is set up to be 12-months by default. If you pay it off in the first 90 days, you can take advantage of the 90-day purchase option (3-month purchase option in CA) provided in your Lease Agreement. After 90 days, early buyout options are available, but vary by state.

Can I return an item that was part of a Progressive lease?

Yes. You can cancel your lease at any time without penalty. If you are within the Best Buy return period, you may receive a credit or refund by returning your merchandise to Best Buy. If your return is outside of the Best Buy return period, you may receive a credit or refund by returning your merchandise to Progressive Leasing. You need to contact Progressive Leasing customer service at 1-877-898-1970 prior to any return.

What happens if the product on my Progressive lease is defective?

You need to contact Progressive Leasing customer service at 1-877-898-1970. Progressive will evaluate the product to determine the proper course of action.

Are some products excluded from a Progressive lease?

Yes. There are several items that cannot be leased through Progressive, including delivery or installation, monthly paid Geek Squad Protection Plans, Apple Care, mobile phone carrier service plans, prepaid cards and extended service contracts, drones, self-balancing scooters, and software (may vary by state). Please visit your nearest participating Best Buy store and work with a Blue Shirt to discuss specific lease-eligible items. If desired, these excluded items can be purchased in a separate transaction.

Will I receive My Best Buy® points on my lease?

No. Products leased with Progressive Leasing are not eligible to get My Best Buy points.

What will my monthly payment be?

Your payment amount will be determined by the item(s) you select in the lease. You can calculate a payment estimate for a given lease amount during your lease application or by texting INFO to 575-97. Your exact payment amount will be found in your Lease Agreement, which will be available for your review prior to signing.
