What is the Progressive lease-to-own program?

The lease-to-own program from Progressive can be a great way to get what you want right now. Progressive offers a simple lease-to-own program giving you flexibility with the ability to pay over time. After you complete all standard recurring lease payments or exercise an early purchase option, you will own the product(s).

Standard agreement offers 12 months to ownership. 90-day and other early purchase options cost more than the retailer's cash price (except 3-month option in CA). To purchase early or to cancel lease call 877-898-1970. Best Buy cannot activate early purchase options.

How does this program work if I am shopping on BestBuy.com?

It’s easy. Simply log into your BestBuy.com account. Look up your lease number, add items to cart and apply your lease during the checkout process.

What do I need to be eligible and to apply?

You must be 18 years or older (19 years or older in AL), and have a valid Social Security Number or ITIN, routing and account numbers for an open and active checking account, a credit or debit card (pre-paid cards not accepted), and a smart phone (data rates may apply) and have internet access.

How do I use my remaining lease approval?

How much can I get approved for?

It depends. Progressive looks at many data points, including things like employment and banking history to determine approval amounts. These data points will indicate whether a Progressive lease would be a good fit and, if so, the approval amount.

Is there a processing fee for a Progressive lease?

No, Progressive does not charge an application fee or processing fee. Your initial payment will be made using the credit or debit card you consent to be charged in the lease-to-own agreement. This is the first payment for your lease and is part of the 12-month lease-to-own total. If you are not approved, you will not be charged anything.

How do I make payments on my Progressive lease?

Payments will be automatically deducted from your checking account or charged to your credit card. Your payment frequency will depend upon the payday frequency provided on your application.

Who do I contact if I have a question about my lease?

Contact a Progressive Leasing customer service representative at 1-877-898-1970. Customer service representatives are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (MST), on Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. (MST), and are not available on Sundays. You may also access your account online via the customer portal anytime at https://myaccount.progleasing.com/.

Will I receive a monthly billing statement?

No, but you will receive a letter welcoming you to Progressive with basic information about your lease, including information about your payments and early buyout options. Your account can also be accessed online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at https://myaccount.progleasing.com/.

Do I have the option of buying the product before my maximum lease term ends?

Yes. You can purchase the product(s) at any time. You can take advantage of a 90-day purchase option (3-month purchase option in CA) as provided in your lease-to-own agreement. This is the least expensive lease-to-own purchase option and expires 90 days (3 months in CA) after your item(s) are delivered. After this option expires, you can exercise an early purchase option for less than the total of remaining 12-month lease-to-own total, as described in your lease agreement.

Can I return an item that was part of a Progressive lease?

Yes. You can cancel your lease at any time without penalty. If you are within the Best Buy return period, you may receive a credit or refund by returning your merchandise to Best Buy. If your return is outside of the Best Buy return period, you may receive a credit or refund by returning your merchandise to Progressive Leasing. You need to contact Progressive Leasing customer service at 1-877-898-1970 prior to any return.

What happens if the product on my Progressive lease is defective?

You need to contact Progressive Leasing customer service at 1-877-898-1970. Progressive will evaluate the product to determine the proper course of action.

Are some products excluded from a Progressive lease?

Yes. There are several items that cannot be leased through Progressive, including delivery or installation, monthly paid Geek Squad® Protection Plans, AppleCare+, mobile phone carrier service plans, prepaid cards, service contracts, drones, software (may vary by state) and electric bikes, electric scooters or hoverboards requiring registration. Please visit your nearest participating Best Buy store and work with a Blue Shirt to discuss specific lease-eligible items.

Will I receive My Best Buy® points on my lease?

No. Products leased with Progressive Leasing are not eligible to get My Best Buy points.

How much will my monthly payment be?

Because Progressive does not know what items you will select, Progressive cannot yet tell you your recurring payment amount, 12-month lease-to-own total, payment schedule, etc. There is a convenient payment estimator that you can use. Once you are approved and select your items, the details, including your exact monthly payment, will be in your lease-to-own agreement that will be emailed to you. You’ll have an opportunity to review all of these terms before you sign. If you have any additional questions, you can always speak with a Progressive Leasing customer service agent at 877-898-1970.

How does this program work if I am shopping in a Best Buy store?

It's easy. You simply shop at a participating Best Buy store and complete the lease application with a Blue Shirt. Once approved, you will work with the Blue Shirt to select your item(s) and sign the lease. Not all applicants are approved.
