Better than the critics say

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use2 out of 5Well, I had to write this because I feel like there is a lot of slanted information out there about this keyboard. I will sum it up as this - This keyboard has a bit of a learning curve! Most reviews will talk about how it's beautiful, well made, one of the slickest designs ever... but nobody can type on it. I will be honest, I am a very good/fast typist.. so maybe I am not the best judge of how hard a keyboard is to type on.. but suffice it to say I saw immediately what the reviewers were saying. The low profile keys look very cool, the fact that they are mechanical is amazing, and for the size of it the thing is packed with all of the keys you would want. The price? The best analogy I can come up with is if you were to make a laptop chiclet keyboard into a full sized keyboard with increased dimensions.. but not increasing the spacing between the keys. Namely, this keyboard is no harder to type on than a laptop keyboard of a similar profile, but because of the size and the number of keys you immediately go to type on it like a large form factor keyboard, not like a laptop keyboard (assuming you have gotten used to typing on one already). This was about the only change in mindset that I needed, and I now actually find it a lot faster to type on than some of my other keyboards. FPS gaming is great and responsive and the shorter distance between keys is nice for getting those extended long reach keys without any trouble. Again, muscle memory is a factor, took me a little bit to adjust to fat finger WASDing so I would not hit multiple keys at the same time.. but that was a matter of hours not days. Net of it, I really wanted to give this keyboard a fair shake, and I did. It now rests in my lineup of favorite keyboards, especially for fluid fast typing. I get the nice pressure and click from the mechanical keyboard, but I also get that tighter more efficient laptop design. Oh, and it IS beautiful, WAY easier to clean than my Corsair Strafe 2's or Logitech G Pro tournament (which is the 2nd best typing keyboard I have ever used, and no learning curve) The GOOD: * Once you get past the learning curve it is extremely efficient and fast to type on * Easier access to extended FPS gaming keys * Solid but light and slim, travels well * Beautiful RGB with a more than adequate control app. * No 2nd USB line to either fill up your ports or clutter the floor * Extremely easy to clean, both keys and the deck beneath * Removable type C USB cable for connectivity * Very portable and clean, full sized keyboard for LAN events etc. or use at home. The BAD: * You feel like you have had WAY too much to drink or something when trying to type on it for the first time. If you could SLurrrrrr your typing, typing on this keyboard is about as close as I can imagine to what the result would be. ;) * No keyboard stands build in to elevate the rear of the keyboard. I personally do not use these, but those that do will find them missing. * CON to the saving of cable junk.. no USB pass-through port on the keyboard. * No media center keys or displays. It's clean and portable, but spartan in this regard. If you like to have a master control center on your keyboard, this isn't the one for you.

Awesome low pro mechanical keyboard.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This keyboard gets a lot of hate on youtube. Most say it looks great, which it does, but that they can only recommend it for light gaming and not at all for productivity. I disagree. Here is why: Pros - Looks and build quality top notch - Legit low profile is easy on the fingers/wrists - Key travel is smooth and precise with no board flex. Very consistent. - RGB if that's your thing - Macro Recording - Quiet Cons For me personally, none. But i'll play along - If you are coming from a mech keyboard with full sized keys and spacing, I can see how this might be a difficult transition. BUT, if most of your previous typing experience is on legit low profile keyboard (Examples: laptops keyboards, Logitech K750, Dell KB216, Victsing Wired Slim keyboard) then this keyboard is going to feel great. - No palm rest, but honestly it's fine without it. I have a theory that most who don't like it might not be "home row" typists. For us 30 somethings who took typing classes in school and got the "home row" stuffed into our brains I think this keyboard is excellent. I can see how those who "hunt and peck" may get annoyed with this keyboard because your presses do need to be fairly precise due to the spacing of the keys. All that said, I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger on this keyboard. I even plan on getting an SK630 (Tenkeyless) to replace this SK650 at home and take the SK650 to the office. Hope this helps you folks. Happy Typing.

Great Keyboard!!
|Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I play a lot of pc games and am also in grad school - so I type a lot. I wanted a keyboard that I could easily type on, it not make a lot of noise, it's aesthetically pleasing, and I could still game easily on. This keyboard hit all those spots. It's low profile gives it a clean look. My favorite color is purple so I also have the LEDS set to that, though there are a ton of other colors and modes one could set the lights to. The keyboard has a nice weight, so it doesn't feel flimsy when typing or gaming on. Reviews I watched for the keyboard mainly bashed on the fact the keys are all at the same level and that made it hard to type on. However, if you like typing on laptops, you'll have no problem typing on this. All in all, really pleased with my purchase. I'm so happy I found this keyboard.

The Perfect Compromise, Industrial Gaming Keyboard
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis low profile keyboard is minimalist perfection with bright RGB lighting. DO NOT trust the video reviews saying this keyboard is hard to type on. The neutral keys are similar to a laptop style with class-leading weight to them. I found myself using cheap low profile keyboards because of the long-term strain of high key mechanical keyboards. Wrist rests become a nuisance when you need to push your keyboard out of the way to do other work at your desk. This keyboard is the middle low profile with professional styling.

Great mechanical keyboard

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I'm new to the world of PC gaming and before buying this keyboard I did alot of research. I knew I had to have Cherry MX and RGB for looks. I started looking around and came across this keyboard at a clearance price. I jumped on it right away, so far so good I attempted to use the software that you can download from the cooler-master website. I did that but something happen and it messed up my keyboard I had to figure out how to bring it back to life and I did and it's back to normal what happen was when it was trying to update and stopped and that made my RGB go dark and not come back until I was able to find the update on my hard drive and update it manually. You can make adjustments from the keyboard you don't need the software from the website. I would recommend this keyboard super smooth and fast.

Looks great! Feels pretty good too!

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I'll be honest, I know next to nothing about keyboards. I use a Das Keyboard at work with MX Brown switches that I enjoy and was looking for a keyboard with similar switches. This is NOT at all similar. But that's ok. I saw this beautiful looking keyboard at half off and I couldn't resist. It's aesthetically very pleasing, and I love having it on my desk. It's sturdy, and feels very high quality. The typing experience is different, that's for sure. These are linear switches, meaning there's very little tactile reponse until it bottoms out, which took some time to get used to. Tge keys are also quite large with very little gaps between keys. After 3ish weeks of typing on it, I still have issues where I'm hitting 2 keys at once on accident. It's getting better as I use it more though. Overall, I'm pretty happy to have this keyboard on my desk.

GREAT KEYBOARD, VALUE and CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This keyboard attracted mw because of the discounted price, i took it home and used it and found that it was difficult to use with the completely flat keys.. I looked up cooler masters website and they were actually sending out new ergonomic keys for users that would prefer them. I was blown away with the amazing customer service they provided with this.

Q: QuestionDoes this come with alternate raised FPS keys similar to the Corsair K70 Low profile?
Asked by chris.
- A:Answer No it does not. Just the board as-is, a cable, key puller, and a bag.
