Q: Do the knives come in a box or some kind of display?
A: The come in a plastic clamshell with the black plastic covers shown, but there is no knife block. I suggest you buy a magnetic knife strip to hold them against the wall.
Q: Are these knives able to be sharpened?
A: Can't see any reason why not. Nothing prevents SS from being sharpened. I rarely find the need to do any more than light touch-up. If you don't abuse them they won't dull. Even cutting bone (lightly) shouldn't affect them. Use them, clean them, put on covers and put away. They are NOT hammers. I DO NOT let my wife use them. She can dull a knife in a heartbeat. She has her own set to beat up!
Q: what are the handles made of ?
A: Handles and blades are German stainless steel, Very nice feel to them.
Q: How long did they last sharp before you had to sharpen them?
A: That would depend on how much you use each knife. If you don't use them for 6 months they will stay as sharp as when you got them. I see this question often. What you cut, how you care for them, what you cut on etc. No good answer for this type of question.
Q: What country does this made?
A: Just got mine in mail today. Says made in China.
A: Not sure about the rating, but my husband sharpens ours frequently. Excellent set!!
Q: Are all or some of the blades serrated?
A: Yes. There are two serrated knives in the set.
A: 1 is 13", 1 is 12", 2 are 10" and the smaller is 8", very nice set for this price.
