Haven't even tried the knives, but the zero star (had to pick at least one) goes to best buy. I've often purchased deals of the day (like this one) but this was clearly a returned item that hadn't even been repackaged! The plastic case was sliced open and the back was sloppily taped (attatched photos). I also don't recall the ad reflecting a heavily knurled handle, which the delivered knives have. I wouldn't have ordered this style which promises to be uncomfortable to grip. I own a couple Cuisinart knives (chef, santoku) and like them. The chef's knife did snap at the hilt while (agressively) chopping, but i loved it until that point. I will try the knives before attempting a return/refund, but I am thoroughly disappointed with this worst buy.

These knives are wonderful! They are very strong, light and sharp! There is no effort cutting through anything. I use them daily and have not needed to sharpen them at all. They do not discolor or rust.

Combination of price and brand sold me. Each knife effortlessly cuts well, grip and weight feels comfortable in our hands. Looks impressive as well. Sleeves are fine, didn't mind we didn't get a block to store them in. Worth every penny at the BB special price!

These are attractive knives that are all one piece. They are easy to clean and yes, they are new, but they are sharp out of the package. The package was a little bit of a pain to open but they are knives.

Second set I've purchased, this one for myself. Very sharp, very light in weight and solid design. Will recommend this set of knives to all, especially when they are on sale!

I LOVE these knives! They are VERY sharp, well balanced and a great assortment for every job in the kitchen. Although a “knife bock”is not included, for the price I paid, these knives were a steal. I did pick up a very inexpensive magnet wall mount bar at a Swedish Retailer (lol) to hold these knives. That did the trick. Thanks BestBuy for a terrific value!

I am so thankful I saw & purchased these knives. They were purchased for a fraction of the retail price listed on Best Buy's website for $99. Once they arrived I was quickly even more excited they cut through my food with ease & precision. Honey listen had I known then what I know now I would have increased the quantity. Best knives I've ever purchased for $21 dollars. My only regret.. I threw away the covers that went over the knives thinking it was only a part of the original packaging. Duh..

I picked this knife set up when it was on sale and I definitely got my money's worth! Decent quality set and grips are good also with the diamond cut. The blades are sharp enough for all your needs and the blade covers help keep them sharp even longer when stored away. They seem to be made of all one piece as I can't find any joints or lines where the blade meets the handle.

Easy to hold, sharp enough to cut all foods, looks nice, and light weight. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that the handles are hollow. No water has gotten in them yet but I'm waiting for it to happen eventually.

I've been looking for a good set of knives for a long time. Cusinart is a brand name and at the time the price was right. I use them daily, and am pleased with them. I've registered them with Cusinart and they've been "pretty good" but they've not given me an answer as to how to sharpen them. Some knives "apparently" should only be sharpened with a sharpening wand. I certainly don't want to ruin them if that's how these should be sharpened.

We purchased these knives when they were on sale for Black Friday. The set includes a chef's knife, bread knife, slicing knife, santoku (general purpose) knife, paring knife, and a serrated knife. We love to cook and the knives are very sharp and they help get the job done. If you happen to buy these knives on sale, for the price, you definitely can't complain!

I am so glad I made this purchase. The knives are very well made and sharp! We had to purchase a knife rack as it was not safe to have them floating around in the draw. I did not like using the provided covers as they were not the easiest to get on. One slip of the hand would result in a bad cut so we nixed the covers. I would definitely purchase again!

I purchased 2 sets of these knives, one as an engagement gift for my daughter and the other as an anniversary gift for my other daughter. Knives are very sharp and easy to hold. Both families are very happy with their gift. Only wish I had treated myself to a set.

So Far an Excellent Purchase for the Price even though I missed the Deal of the day for $29.99. Paid $39.99 and is still an excellent price comparatively to other online vendors ie. Amazon.com. I know these are not $100 per German made knives, but they serve a purpose, sharp for a period of time, but a great price.

I purchased this knife set an amazing price and the quality is awesome. After 8 months of purchase they are still very sharp and the sleek design is nice. I like them very much because they fit very comfortably in my hands. They are definitely worth the purchase.

at 70% off, I figured it was a no brainer. I took a chance, and I am very satisfied. knives are VERY sharp, and have a substantial heft to them. I would have preferred a separate handle instead of the all metal design, but the price was right. great selection of knives...time will tell if they hold an edge.
