Does what it should, but not spectacularly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a coffee maker with a timer that is affordable, but no bells or whistles or with particularly clever design. The basket is oblong and works with the included reusable filter (which is all I use). A small annoyance is the top of the carafe that simply snaps on and off instead of flipping on a hinge. With almost all carafes I've ever used, there seems to be an angle or point in pouring that spillage occurs: same here. Just pay attention to what the liquid is doing. It makes my coffee -- what more can I ask?

EZ coffee--good and hot!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the coffeemaker! Great temperature, ez setup and clean, can make less than full pot, stays correct temperature at least 2 hours. Hard to read clock (have to use a flashlight, is not illuminated) and separate lid for carafe (why not hinged?). But fast and hot--good quality.

Coffee Maker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2nd Cuisinart. My last one lasted 10 yrs. So far so good with this one. Only drawback, you need to pour perfectly straight or will drip on counter. Mouth could be just a little wider.

Trust Cuisinart Quality
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous Cuisinart lasted for about 12 years and it was still operating when I gave it to my son when he moved into his own place. I've also trusted Cuisinart appliances for their quality, features and ease of use.

Coffee tastes better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give it a 5 star if the coffee did not spill when pouring it. Seems like you have to get the lid back on just right. Other than that I like that it does not seem to keep cooking the coffee and the burner plate seems to be holding up better than a Mr.Coffee.

Coffee maker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a big fan of Cusinart products. I had another product, which cost much more, it only lasted 11 months. When I wrote the company they had me cut the cord off and take a picture. Then they wanted me to send them $13 for shipping and they would send me a new one. I didn't want to spend another penny on a brand I wasn't happy with. I didn't buy Cusinart the first time because I couldn't find a model by them where you could make 8-12 cups, but take out one cup at a time while the rest remains in the maker, a nice feature which I miss with the unit I have. Cusinart is always a sure bet if you can find what you're looking for.

Q: QuestionHow do you remove the top from the carafe. It is not hinged. It snaps. For us it is very difficult to remove the top. We are afraid of breaking the thin plastic carafe top? Is there an easy way of doing this?
Asked by RJ.
- A:Answer You need to pull the lid off from the handle side of the lid. The front portion of the lid fits into the carafe, and the "handle" portion of the lid snaps into the handle. Lift up on the portion of the lid by the handle and it should pop right off.

Asked by CoffeeLover46168.
- A:Answer I would not recommend this model of cuisanart. My favorite is a Melitta. 12 cup. There are chooses of brew strengths and temp settings for holding it hot.
