Cuisinart - Refurbished Brew Central 10-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker

This Cuisinart coffee maker received so-so reviews on other sites; however, I will try out things for myself when I find a GREAT price. Yes, the water level is hard to see because it is located inside the coffee maker in the water reservoir chamber. However, I use a Pyrex cup to fill my coffee maker so I would not have to get that close while pouring. (Steam and hot water may spew so this would be a better idea.) Another great thing is that Best Buy provided 4 filters, measuring spoon, and a carbon water filter (which has to be soaked for 15 mins before your 1st use). I don't understand why reviewers stated their coffee didn't stay hot in the thermal carafe?? Mine was piping hot for at least 4 hours, but I do put the machine on the 1-4 cup setting bc it double heats the water. The only complaint is that when I removed the thermal carafe the coffee maker didn't stop the brewing cycle and coffee dripped into the resting plate but it wasn't a huge mess! But that was my fault because I didn't leave the carafe lid on during brewing and the directions say the coffee brews through and pours thorough the lid, which pauses the brew cycle for 30 seconds. Another plus was the taste!! In my old coffee maker my Ghirardelli Caffe would fry and have a horrid bitter taste...this doesn't have the outer warming plate to fry my beautiful blended brew! YES, I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AND ESPECIALLY FOR THE REFURBISHED PRICE!
