It's worth what I paid for it...

This was a refurb unit, and I had some cupons to use on it as well. After it was all said and done, I spend about $30 on this maker. It makes perfect espressos, but the steamer doesn't work like it should. It will work for a few seconds, but it will shut off before the milk is hot. If I had paid retail for this espresso maker, I would have taken it back. But, with what I paid for it. I'm keeping it. I will upgrade at a later date and keep this as a backup.
It looks great though. I wish the tamper were metal, but the plastic works okay. The stainless steel is great, and the top gets pretty warm to heat up some cups so that your drink stays hotter, longer.
The only reason I said that I wold recommend this for a friend is cause of the price I paid. Just remember, there is a reason this is a reman unit...

It looks pretty nice with stainless outfit.
Warming top plate is also very useful.
Pods, single, and double baskets are also.
Initializing time is fast too.
However, pumping noise is too loud and unstable. Steam is not enough to make Latte art level's milk.
I'd like to recommend this too my friends if he/she is a beginner and looking for not expensive one. This is perfect for them.

The minuses- The pump is kinda loud. The shot cups are sorta small. The "stainless steel" isn't anything less than brushed steel.
The pluses- The water is hot and the steam is fast. There isn't a lot of wait time, so thats it- this is my 3rd espresso machine all different all with drawbacks. if you find a great model please let me know.
