A: Thank you for your question, GrandpaMark! There is no need for a receiver as the Guard uses your home WiFi to connect to the Defender Guard app! Melissa C. | Defender Customer Experience Expert
A: Hello Alby, thanks for the great question. The defender Guard is set to a 24 hour clock, there is no way to change it to a 12 hour one. Defender Support
A: Do not record continuously 24 hours a day but motion detection is on for alert I seem to have more than a hundred a day depending whether the camera is outside or inside the house I have both and the 16 gigabyte card that they give me seems to work all right for me really don't have a straight answer for you but motion detection only is what you need to put it on Don't think you need 128 gigabytes
A: Hello KRS03 and thank you for this wonderful question about the Defender Guard IP camera! From the Live view, you can save videos and snapshots directly onto the app. Yes, you would need a micro USB card that is 128GB or smaller. Please reach out to us via phone, e-mail or chat if you require any further assistance, we would be happy to provide it.- Lauren A. | Defender Customer Experience Expert. | www.Defender-usa.com | Defender Customer Support: 1-866-946-7828
Q: Can more then one camera be set up for the same system & how long is the power cord?
A: Hi Rick, thank you for your question! You can have up to 6 Defender Guard cameras which can be viewed through the Defender Guard app. The power supply is 10 ft but does come with a 25 ft extension cable as well! Melissa C. Defender Customer Experience Expert
Q: Is there a way for this camera to run off of a wireless hotspot?
A: Great question, Mike! Yes, it is possible. However, data charges due to overages will likely result because the 2K (4MP) streaming is very data-intensive. Thank you for your interest in Defender! Melissa C. | Defender Customer Experience Expert
Q: Can I put this inside my window and have it look out at my car at night?
A: Great question, Runningusa! We do not recommend pointing the cameras through a window as the glare from the window can obstruct the view. Thank you for your question! Melissa C. | Defender Customer Experience Expert
Q: will this work with Google Home Hub?
A: No, this will not work with Google Home Hub.
