- A: AnswerI had this computer, It can be upgraded up 64gb of ram. I done it and it worked great. You can also replace the 2230 form factor hard drive with the full size 2280 form factor up to 4tb. I don't know why these computer companies keep the truth from the consumer, seems to be counterproductive in my opinion. Also, just my opinion, but the Ryzen 5 version is better than the Ryzen 7 version. Had them both and done the upgrades to both. The Ryzen 7 versions built in GPU was constantly having issue's.

Q: QuestionWill this computer be good enough for college?(3 answers)
A: AnswerCollege student here, the laptop has really good performance as it can run pretty much everything ive put on it really well and haven't had any issues with performance so far it can even do some light gaming. I do recommend upgrading the RAM to 16GB like I did as it would tend to studder at some points with just the base 8GBAnswered by Snoopnoob26

A: AnswerYes.Answered by SukiTJ
Q: QuestionWhere do I plug in my Internet cord?(3 answers)
A: AnswerLaptop manufacturers are tending to omit the Ethernet port, especially on lower priced models. This allows them to save some space and weight, as well as lower prices. The exception is usually laptops aimed at business or gaming. So, as noted in another reply, you will need a USB-to-Ethernet port adapter.Answered by luislast
Q: QuestionDoes this laptop have a cd player?(4 answers)
A: AnswerNo. There are a number of reasons why internal optical drives are largely unavailable, though they can still be found, mostly (but not exclusively) in "hardened" laptops that look (and weigh) like bricks and are used in construction, emergency situations, and the military. Or through the refurbished/used/ secondhand market. There are a number of reasons for this: 1. Modern laptops (and desktops) are pushing to be smaller and weigh less, with many companies advertising their computers as “ultra thin” or “easily portable.” Optical drives significantly add weight (about half a pound) and bulk (12 cm. diameter). 2. Even Blu-ray discs top out at 128 GB, far below HDDs, SSDs, or pen/flash drives on a per-centimeter basis. 3. With the advent of fast network connectivity, cloud storage, software distributed via the Internet, and growing use of USB 3 and even USB 4 (with raw link speed of up to 80 Gbps), integrated optical drives have largely become obsolete. As mentioned in the other reply, should you need an optical drive, they are still available, at a modest cost, as external, portable units. If you need a laptop with an integrated optical drive, look elsewhere, as notedAnswered by luislast

Not worth your money
I bought this on Black Friday over all this laptop is the worst I’ve ever gotten. When you charge the laptop makes this loud sound like those old DVD player and sometimes when I turn it on it’s a black screen with the keyboard lights up or it shows that: (see picture) which I have to restart continuously

It does support an active stylus
It is an awesome computer, just be aware one star removal is for McAfee, I do not want it, but the only seemingly permanent way to get rid of it is to download a program from McAfee to remove it. This is the perfect multipurpose device, its 2-1 one design allows you to mark up with a pen, type like a normal computer, game a little, and use it for some time without needing to find power. Screen: The screen is big and usable for work or play. It is a touch screen and supports digital pens. I found Dell AES pen that didn’t work great, but then I tried a USI2.0 pen I have for a Chromebook, and it worked perfectly including the ‘eraser’ on the top. That is one problem I have with Dell is the pen compatibility is buried so deep it is seemly impossible to find if the laptop even supports it before you actually just try it. Keyboard: The keyboard has decent travel and is comfortable enough to type on. For extended typing I prefer my ergo keyboard, but this does work for on the go and medium length typing sessions. Mouse: The touchpad is a decent size and easy enough to use, I don’t hit it while I’m typing and the multi finger shortcuts such as three to switch between apps works great. Gaming: While this obviously isn’t a gaming machine it works for the casual to specific gamer type, you might just have to sacrifice some graphics or not play the most graphic heavy games. Stuff like Minecraft, Roblox, and Fortnite work great. Ports: It has an HDMI, 2 USB A, 2 USB C, Aux, and SD ports, I wish there was a USB C on each side but the selection is good for a slim laptop. Design: The design is slim, heavier than other laptops this size that I’ve used but also a little more capable too. I love the color; blue is a nice color option in my opinion. The fingerprint reader could be in a slightly better position, but it works. I did have to warn my wife not to press hard though as she put the computer to sleep the first time she tried to use it, hopefully that will only happen once for most users. The copilot button I thought was kind of dumb, but it’s just like a dedicated search button if what your looking for is decently straight forward. Just remember with AI, garbage in is garbage out and there is a lot of garbage on the web and depending on how you ask a question it can feed all that garbage as fact; it is a powerful tool, which can be mishandled easily, but I have been using it more than I figured I would. Overall: A computer like this is the perfect computer for school, work, or play. It can handle things like adobe elements (non-professional to maybe semiprofessional level video and photo editing), autoCAD, mathCAD, matlab, and other programs. Taking notes with a mixture of handwriting and keyboarding is possible and you have full OneNote capabilities which is awesome. The camera has a built in cover for privacy minded individuals and besides some bloatware I believe this is the perfect machine for everyday use.
