nostalgic goodness
Like a lot of early 90s Hollywood movies that involve martial arts in some way, this movie isn't good. But that why I love it. It has a lot of over-the-top zaniness you'd expect from a move of this time period. And as an added bonus, you get the first episode of the cartoon, which in my opinion was done a lot better than this live-acton movie. That said I still enjoy this movie, and it should please anyone that grew up in the early 1990s.
This is something of a childhood nostalgia. I own it on laserdisc, and seeing it come to blu ray is welcomed. It's a pretty bad movie based on the old video game of the same name, but hey, I'm glad to give my money in support of this! Where's the Mario Bros movie on blu ray?!
Double Dragon has & always will be around since the 80's. The cheesy rompfest of action meets the Lee brothers & all their villains is finally on Blu-Ray with a lot of extras that are worthwhile.
