Dynex™ - 8-Outlet Surge Protector Strip - Black

I like this product due to the fact that it's nice in size and how you can have more than 1 plug in it without deciding, "which 1 do I take out and which 1 can I keep plugged up" ? It also has the grey plastic on top of each outlet. These plastic grey slots, slide. That's a nice safety feature. Now I did get a huge kick out of the shipment that came in the mail. When I received this surge protector, it came in a HUGE BOX and I do mean HUGE. I thought someone sent me a whole video game system or something was incorrectly sent. When I opened the box, OH...it's just the surge protector in a huge wide box. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Specifications for this unit are quite good for what the unit cost. The eight outlets are spaced so that a brick power supply may be plugged into six of them with no problems, which is something that many surge protectors do not allow. (Even though the specs say four, six may be plugged in, depending on the size.) The power/reset switch is located on the end of the unit next to where the ac cord goes into it, but it's not really a problem. The LED's are, thankfully (!), green and NOT blue! The blue LED's are too bright.

I bought two of these on sale and they are actually quite nice. Very compact and sleek looking, fitting the decor of most rooms. Performance specs are great but hoping I never need them. The plug spacing is perfect for my needs in a home office. When not using a plug, a nice dust cover is in place to protect and increase the cosmetic appearance. Overall very nice!

I was excited about this due to the shape, as I thought I could fit more devices than the regular linear one. But the slots were pretty loose and my plugs would not fit into them properly. Further, it caused my power socket to trip !! I had to go and exchange this for another one. Waste of effort!

I mounted this to the wall behind our tv. We have 3 plugs and two are large. Even though you lose a couple outlets it’s excellent to use the plugs facing inward. It avoids wasting space and also allows the larger plugs to be more secure using the base of the power strip for support. It’s cheap but high in quality and protection.

I like this more than some of the more expensive power strips because the outlets are spaced out for bigger plugs and all the outlets have covers. The only downside is that the wall plug for this power strip has the cable going out on the bottom towards the right so it blocks the outlet below it. I would prefer if the cable came straight out of the plug instead.

I purchased this, so that I could plug in a few items by the television. What I like the most is that you can close the outlets that aren't being used. What I don't like is that the cord isn't very long, so I had to move the television closer to the wall outlet.

This surge protector has 8 outlets and protects up to 900 joules. This works well with many items such as dvd or vcr players, a game system, a small tv, and low-end electronics. I would recommend higher joules for a large flat screen tv with multiple new game systems or other high-end devices, but this is great for average devices.
