Works well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice looking and well running machine, has 10 settings for fan speed, and you are able to toggle on the humidification. Takes 3 minutes for the UV warm up and kill the bacteria in the water, but that doesn't take away how well it works. Design is less complex than would be guessed and it is easier to clean than anticipated. It does let you set your room to desired humidity and does a good job. Only thing to emphasize is that it is a cool mist humidifier, and when you are not humidifying the air, then you have a cooling fan, there is no heating.

Best Humidifier at a price. One flaw.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I first thought who would pay almost $500 for a humidifier when you can buy them for $50! I've owned many inexpensive ones over the years and hated every one and threw them our after a season or two when the filter etc. got nasty. The Dyson is a breed apart and delivers nice fresh humidity with very little noise, pretty much as advertised. I use filtered water in the unit and after 2 months see no evidence of a need to clean the tank or anything. The only flaw, and it's not insignificant, is that reinstalling the top piece (they call it the loop) after filling the water tank can be a real challenge. Especially when you have to do it daily, every time you fill the tank. The loop is supposed to easily snap in to the water tank, but instead you have to push it down fairly hard and sort of twist and rock it until it snaps in. This becomes a learned skill, but there were times I didn't think it would snap in place. Anyway I still like the way it performs but I think Dyson will need to address this to meet the otherwise high standards of this dehumidifier

Expensive but worth it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in an older house and when the heat runs a lot it gets super dry. I have tried otjer humidifiers, the tower evaporative kind, too. This beats them all. IT WORKS. It is quiet and the cleaning really isn't very hard. You can set it on auto and it decides what is "comfortable" for the room. You can adjust humidity and fan level manually too (all adjustments made from remote) It is super because the fan sends the moisturizer across the room. Yes this does create a bit of a cool breeze but to make my sinuses amd skin happy I really don't mind. No static electricity on the bed any more either!. You can buy the citric acid on Amazon for cleaning. Just look on You Tube - there's a video. It hardly gurgles at all after the first few hours. The on/off button has a blue lihjt that is a bit bright bit I put a bandaid over it which dims it but you can still see it. I have been using it almost 1 month and have cleaned it once and I LOVE it!!

The best of the best!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everyone in the household was sick with bronchitis and sore throats. The air was very dry in our house. I love how you can input different percentages for the humidity. A nice feature is you can convert to fan only without humidity as well. Also, the water goes thru a uv light that helps clean the air you breathe which is a plus. A remote control that comes with it is handy as well.

Works Well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great. Like that it also acts like a fan too. We use it for background noise. The only thing is that it seems to run out of water sooner than they advertise. Once the water runs out, the fan shuts off too. I wish the fan kept running.

Excellent product but needs maintenance +
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product is fine, but information given by salesman incorrect.. The salesman tlold me that you had to fill the humidifier every three days. Wrong! The water capacity is for approximately ten hours! Also, there is quite a bit of maintenance required with this unit. If I knew this beforehand, I do not think I would have purchased this product.

Awesome and doubles as a fan too!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this humidifier. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I wish the tank was a bit bigger. Other than that, it works well, is so quiet and has a built in system that purifies the water. It also doubles as a fan if you turn the humidifier feature off, which is a huge bonus!

Best humidifier I've tried
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using it for a month and not once have I had to deal with the slimy gunk that would grow in the water of other humidifiers I have tried. It is very nice to be able to adjust the level of humidity and the fan does a good job of dispersing it. Also works as a fan so I don't have to store it in the summer

Q: QuestionIs that ok to use tap water for dyson humidifier? I see white dust and compound calcium in air.
Asked by JerseyPerson.
- A:Answer Hi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. While tap water is okay to use, it can cause what you have described to happen if there is a heavy concentration of minerals in the water. In these cases, we recommend using purified or distilled water in the machine. Best Wishes, Krystal Dyson Customer Service

Q: QuestionWill this work in foreign contries with higher voltage spec like 220-240 v ?
Asked by abi.
- A:Answer Hello there, This is Dan with Dyson. All Dyson machines manufactured for the US are only designed to be used with 110-120 volt wall outlets. Using any sort of power converter is not advised and can damage the machine. Best wishes, Dan

Q: QuestionMy past humidifiers always leave a film on my furniture and windows. Does the Dyson leave this residue? Would distilled water remedy this problem?
Asked by TE223.
- A:Answer There is an option to use distilled water (instead of tap). I purchased 60 gallon jugs of distilled water when it was on sale and have used it exclusively in the Dyson humidifier. I have absolutely NO dust/film residue. I am very happy with using distilled water. Yes, it costs about $1 a day during this heavy use winter season, but to me, it is well worth not having the white residue on furniture and NOT BREATHING the minerals in regular tap water (especially when my water comes from a well).

Q: QuestionWhat is the input voltage required? Is there a range like 110v to 220v etc.?
Asked by Louis.
- A:Answer Hi Louis, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for your interest in the Dyson Humidifier. Dyson machines are made for the country in which they were purchased in. Therefore, machines purchased in the US will operate on 110-120v. Our machines are not multi-voltage and using a power converter is not recommended. Best Wishes, Krystal Dyson Customer Service

Q: QuestionWill this cool the ambient air? Will it make my heater work harder in the winter?
Asked by 312.
- A:Answer At low humidity, the circulating air will feel cooler, but it can't lower the air temperature. This will not make your heater work harder.

Q: QuestionHow do I clean the circular part of the humidifier. I can see dust inside. Can you put water in the ring? Also, I don’t have a rubber seal. I didn’t get it when I bought it. Is that essential to all models?
