Electrolux - Aptitude Upright Vacuum

This is a typical upright vacuum, but does seem to have better suction than others I tried; it cleans the carpet quite thoroughly. Though a bit heavy, it glides across the carpet if set to the proper height, and if you do not have to carry it upstairs, the weight would not be your problem. Really like how easy it is to attach and work with the accessories-one of the selling points of the machine for me. The other was that it was the only upright machine that picked up all the imbedded dirt on the test carpet in the store. It also has decent filters to keep allergens from escaping the machine. The cons I have found are that, even though the machine goes flat, it still cannot go low enough to get under some of my furniture. Also, while using the bare floor attachment on kitchen laminate, it definitely loses some suction power; still works, but have to move slow and make double pass (only for bare floor). Thus, the 4 star.

When vacuuming carpets, it will only pick up small pieces of dust, it will not pickup anything else. You must use the attachments to pickup anything else..such as lint, threads. I have 2 small dogs who like to chew on dog bones. This vacuum will not pick up the small particles that are left on the carpet or floors. I had a previous electrolux that worked great, but this one is the worst.

This vacuum will pick up the worst messes you could make, good suction. Auto propelled, does pretty good at the edges of flooring, I still use the attachments to get this area. Attachments are enclosed in casing and easy to get out/in.

Not worth the money you spend on it. I was very dissapointed on the way it picks up on bare floors.
