Crystal clear image! Extreme lightweight!
Posted .This is a review for the Epson Powerlite 1781W Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I'm just recently received this Epson projector and stray away from the unboxing you can tell very clearly what differentiates this projector from the rest. It is very carefully and properly packed to ensure Safety and Security until it reaches the consumer. Setting up his projector was a true breeze. Firstly it comes with just about every single connector cable that you could possibly need in order to project whatever you need from whatever device you need. Plugging it in and getting it setup projecting my computer screen took about 45 seconds. The projector automatically scans all the input ports and automatically detects the correct source. Then it automatically adjust to whatever projection screen or wall that you have set up. It Auto adjust the angle and Keystone by detecting the surface and making it basically plug-and-play. The quality is crystal clear, and I really like the fact that I can adjust the focus if it needs fine-tuning from both the remote and the projector itself. Once we're on the top of the remote, just about every feature can be done from both the remote and from the projector itself. The projector comes a built-in adjustable stand to help project it at the perfect angle. It also has a easy shrink / enlarge feature to make it to the correct screen size. Another amazing feature that this projector has is it extreme easiness to connect to. You could connect it from either your computer or your network or even directly from your phone with their very easy to set up app. You can even connect it directly to your wireless network and projected wirelessly that way as well. To go back to the app Feature for a second, it allows you to project a mirror image of your screen enabling you to have the flexibility of projecting from whatever device you need. All in all this is a extremely solid and reliable projector that can provide for all your needs in every setting with its extreme lightweight, small size, and quietness. It even comes with a very convenient travel bag that holds all the necessary wires and remotes and makes it very easy to take it on the go.

Sleek design and clear images
Posted .This is a review for the Epson Powerlite 1781W Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This is my first Epson projector though I own a few LED projectors that are not nearly as good. The Epson Powerlite 1781W is more than half the size and weight than my other projectors. It is similar to the thickness of an older laptop. One thing that totally "Wow's me" is the auto fitting to the screen. My older projectors need to be lined up perfectly and the only corrections possible were manual focus and keystone correction, with the Epson projector a simple one touch automatically fits it to the screen. The brightness and color accuracy is amazing. Even in a lit room you can read or watch what is on the projector. My old projectors only worked in a dark room. The fan is somewhat noisy as is common with all similar projectors. The sound is not that loud so I use it with an external speaker for clear crisp sound. It comes in a carrying case making it easy for travel and demonstrations. The app makes it easy to control content from your smartphone straight to the projector. If you are looking for a high quality projector that produces clear images, has quick setup and is portable this a clear winner. My only recommendation is to bring an external speaker for better sound.

Epson Powerlite 1781W – The Superb Projector
Posted .This projector is easy to setup and even easier to connect to. The projector has mounting whole that can hold the it in on ceiling or stand alone. The stand can be adjusted with ease and get the right high. The smart image adjustment is out of this world. You can setup on the right or left side of your conference room and it will adjust the image for you and it will look like the projection is coming from straight forward. Just amazing. The Wifi compatibility and range is great. It allows for users to connect via wifi and a QR code for even easier connection through phone (iPhone / android). The projector can be connected to the PC via HDMI or Wifi making it very versatile. The Epson Projector App can help also gain access to the internal functions of the projector (but not a must have) All in all the picture quality is superb even with light on the camera and sensors seem to be able to adjust the image nicely. I can only say that this is the best projector our office had. Note that the projector comes with a case therefore the storage and mobility is great. For larger firms like ours we use administrative storage system, meaning we sign in and out projectors all the time. Our staff prefers this projector to all others! Also for the occasional sports game Highly recommended from not only myself, but also dozens of other colleagues. This is a review for the Epson Powerlite 1781W Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review Please note, even though I have received this projector free of charge. We highly recommend it. Buy it and see for yourself. You have nothing to lose and a great projector to gain.

Perfect Portable Projector
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Purchased this projector for use at a mission school in Africa. This projector met every challenge. It was lightweight, compact and easily portable for travel in my messenger bag. it is expensive...but the quality of the projection and picture was well worth investment. We've always had a problem in past with getting a quality picture with ambient light in the classrooms. We can never seal out all the day light, but with this new projector this year's dvd presentations were perfectly visible with great colors and sharpness. We even used it projected on a black chalkboard and still it was clear and able to be used to teach lessons via youtube instruction videos. The quality of clear visibility was almost unbelievable ! You will need to install the projector hardware to the laptop you are going to use, in order to get the full function of the self stabilizer/leveler of picture and extra controls. Everything worked just as advertised. So glad I did the research and ended up with this great Epson Projector for our trip. I was not disappointed, and the mission school was elated with their new state of art equipment. They are the only school in their village area that is able to have technology education in their classrooms. Note: it does heat up to the point the top casing is quite hot... but documentation states that is normal bc of the bright bulb. It never overheated. I used it with a stepdown power unit, converting 240 v Kenya Power to 110 v USA power socket. I couldn't find documentation to tell me if it could run on either 110-240 volts. So I played it safe by using a power stepdown converter box. Quality Product, Great Classroom/Teaching asset.

Great picture an easy to use
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Great picture an easy to use. Better than the cheaper projectors. We've only used a couple of times an no problem yet. Only problem is you have to get a hdmi audio out put because you can't just plug in external jack to speakers. For the $ it costs you should be able too but epson doesn't. Just YouTube it. We bought a cart at office depot for easy transportation. Plus bestbuy didn't offer warranty. You have to go through epson. Hope this helped

Very small, light and powerful
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Auto screen sizing took a few seconds to get used to it. Great. Had some issues of my Apple talking to the projector but did an install routine and now all computers auto "talk" seamlessly. Nice resolution (why I bought it in the first place) to replace my older cheaper (not by much) machine. I like Epsons.

All Around Fantastic Projector
||Posted .I have used projectors for two decades doing seminars and presentations. Looking for a new one and this one jumped out because it was half the thickness of the other Epson models. Got it unboxed and noticed exceptional care in packing and presentation. Literally a plug an play proposition and WOW! Easy to use, beautiful bright picture, and fantastic options for making adjustments. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. Comes with a really nice carrying case and appropriate cables to get connected. My laptop HDMI out went right into the back and image and sound came up without any type of settings or adjustments. I connected my Bose Soundlink external speaker for a fantastic experience.

Review Of The PowerLite 1781W Wireless WXGA 3LCD P
Posted .This is a review for the Epson Powerlite 1781W Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I found this Epson Projector to be a definite asset of productivity. I am constantly doing presentations of all sorts, for my boss, for my employees, for potential clients, and I feel this device enables me to expediently do presentations like i’ve never done before. Why? First, the projector is super lightweight and really portable, its like a laptop more or less in terms of size and weight. I was able to fit it into my briefcase and it was a pleasure carrying it around, I actually couldnt believe i had a projector in my bag! It also really has excellent resolution and image quality. Just to try and see how good its resolution was, I tried projecting some extremely low resolution images (by design), and I could see with crystal clear quality the level of poor quality of these “test low resolution images.” So, I was impressed, to say the least. Another big selling pt is that this project is wireless, which allows me to connect to the projector from my smartphone, laptop, tablet, it doesnt matter, as long as the device can connect to Wifi, im good. I loved this b/c I hate messy cables and having to lug them around with me everywhere. This device eliminates the need for these messy cables. Finally, I thought this machine was just cool-looking. Like, I love devices, and having this machine makes me feel super nerdy and techy in the best possible way due to the fact that I love high tech, sleek, ultra cool tech devices. Why? They make my life more productive and fun! To be fair, I will say that the sound quality isnt up to par with the excellence of the machine overall, so, if you are going to be doing a media rich presentation where you will be using lots of video elements with sound, bring some extra speakers, thats what I did, didnt mind, had some portable Sony speakers already. But do be warned that the sound on this device isnt that good. Also, I didnt like that the machine got a little too hot, and, being the Nervous Nellie that I tend to be, didnt like this fact. I didnt like that the machine got a little too hot for my tastes/comfort. Nevertheless, I will say that this device definitely exceeded my expectations, and its small drawbacks are greatly outweighed by its top notch craftsmanship, excellent image quality, superb size/weight, and overall coolness factor.

Q: QuestionI am trying to connect my surface computer to my epson powerlite 1781w projector. It's asking for a keyword, what should I enter? If ever, can I bypass it? Please help me, so I can use it wireless... ? Thanks, danny
Asked by danny.
- A:Answer I had same issue. Read the manual and install a software for laptop/ desktop, which is available online as well as in the CD. Follow the instructions in the CD and it will take care of the problem. Once connected through the software, use that for a wireless connection. They also have Apps for iPhone, which is good for presentations but does not work with video.
