Excite Truck - Nintendo Wii

Overall, Excite Truck was a pretty good launch title for the Nintendo Wii. It was slightly overshadowed by Zelda: Twilight Princess, however, it did get plenty of recognition for its unique style of gameplay. Instead of using the Wii remote as a pointer, like you would in other games, the user actually flips the remote on its side and holds it like a steering wheel as if you were driving a car (or in this case an Excite Truck). It can support multi-player mode, however, you can only play with one other person. As of today (9/16/07) its probably the best racing game for the Wii.

Nice locations, unlockable tracks keep the action fresh. A warning for purists though: the powerups are pure fantasy - but nessisary to squash the opposition, you can come in first and still not win sometimes. We got this with our console for Christmas and we've played it every night! Way fun and even my young daughter likes to tear up the track! Lots of unlockable vehicals - fast paces breakneck racing! Loads of fun for any speed demon...

this is one of the best racers yet on wii. This is esentially an earlier version of Monster 4x4:World Circuit, and much better. This game has a large emphasis on crashiong others and tricks. There aren't many tricks in Excite Truck (air and spins) that have to do with things like that. The stars are a good concept and was used well. You even get a star if you impress the computer enough with a crash. The game has hard AI and is NOT a quick completeing game. You will try many times each tournament. The controls are hard to master, but work nearly flawlessly. The only real big problem is the multiplayer. Only 2 players and no erxtra cars/trucks can be added. Its only you and your friend. This game would be nearly perfect if it had online multiplayer for more than 2 people. Like mario Kart. I reccomend it to anyone who likes the wii to any extent.

I would recommend this game to anyone. If you are looking for a fun game that gives you that fast feel, but has the shortcuts in the track so that it is always competitive between different skill levels, this game will do the trick. Also, being able to add your own soundtrack is a nice bonus. The graphics are a little weak, but after a couple races, you'll be so busy trying to win, you won't even notice!

This game is one of my favorites i still haven't completly beaten it. The game has many sweet features and it have great basic controls that anyone can learn. Overall this game can be played by anyone that enjoys racing and intense driving.

Excite truck is a very fun game to play with your friends and the controls are easy to learn! I loved Excite Truck for the first month. I still play it here and there. But, there are only about 25 courses and 2 different levels. You unlock different trucks and you get to try them out but you don't unlock new courses on the second level. The second level is the same thing, only harder, and some courses become too frustrating. But overall, it is a fun game and its great to play with friends.

This game has very easy controls to learn and every child that we've had over to play loves this game. This game is simple enough that my 3yo plays with ease but still fun enough for the older kids (over 13).

I love this game, the controls are simple enough that just about anyone can play and its a blast racing. The only con to this game is that its 1 player :(
